SOURCE: Clutch problem

check the fluid level first, if its empty this will happen, if so full it and bleed the clutch, if not it could be the slave cylinder and failing both, it could be the clutch itself, easiest way to check is to see on the gearbox if the clutch is engaging when you press the pedal down.
just ask if you need more help

SOURCE: 1989 honda prelude s clutch

prolly a hydraulic problem master os slave cylinder leak ck your fluid takes dot 3 brake fluid , also you can put in gear hold the pedal down usually if the fiber substance is gone from the clutch disk the car will not move while cranking if the car moved then its a hydraulic problem , note to self try this with nothing in front of the car it might start up in gear if that happens you will have to immediately turn the engine key off , if the fiber is gone while running you can put trans into any gear while running without pedal inguaged , hope this helps

SOURCE: my clutch goes straight to the floor, cant shift gears

The most likely cause of your problem is a hydraulic system problem. Your clutch system works off of hydraulic pressure and if there is a leak or it ran out of fluid it will cause the problem you have. The first thing to do is check the master cylinder to be sure that it is full of fluid. If it is not then you have a leak somewhere.
You could have a problem with either your master cylinder or slave cylinder.

SOURCE: Need to know how to bleed clutch of 1995 honda

Fill the clutch reservoir with new brake fluid and kneel down beside the car, reach in with your hand and pump the clutch pedal up and down until it starts to return on it's own. Check the reservoir level, hop in the car and pump the pedal about twenty times with you foot, the clutch will self bleed and you'll be able to shift. If there is a leak somewhere, this problem will reoccur until the cause of the leak is fixed.

2006 Hyundai Elantra clutch pedal stays down and car will not start

The clutch being on the floor says the slave cylender, or pilot bearing for the clutch is faulty. The vehicle should still start if you put it in neutral, it just can't be driven. Unsure about the windows.

Clutch pedal straight to floor

If you put the trans in neutral and depress the clutch pedal it should still start.
The clutch is hydraulic, so there should be something connecting the pedal to the master cyl and the slave cyl to the clutch disk.

Clutch pedal goes strait to the floor??clutch won't bleed up??

It has air bubbles on the piping, fill the deposit with brake solution, and push and pull the clutch pedal with your hand it doesn't matter if it goes straight to the floor if that happens pull it with your hand, repeat that as if you are bleeding it up, then disconnect the piping beneath the car, the air bubbles will be forced out, then reconnect the piping and repeat the procedure, push and pull the clutch pedal like a 100 times, then disconnect the piping and reconnect. The clutch pedal should be able to go back when there is no air on the piping. If that doesn't work, replace your clutch pump

Clutch sticking will not go into first

Ok it looks like there is no problem with the clutch or tranmission. You problem is that the clutch pedal is stiff and sticking to the floor. This sometimes happens when vehicles sit for extended periods of time. It might free up by working back and forth by hand. Have the vehicle off and the parking brake applied and push the clutch pedal up and down with your hand, It might stick to the floor and you may have to pull it off the floor a few times. You can also get some spray lubricant from your local canadian tire or auto parts store. open the hood and have someone move the clutch pedal up and down and spray the moving parts. It might take a few times to free up the stiff linkage but it will work :)

Pushed the clutch to the floor and it popped now theres no tension on it like its not even connected. Cable is connected all the way down but the rod that goes inside the trannie moves freely.

what i think has happened is the clutch thrust bearing has worn through the pressure plate fingers this will entail removing teh gearbox to replace the clutch as their no other way to gain access to replace the clutch.

Pushed clutch in to start engine, heard snap, clutch went to floor and did not retract. underhood inspection found dangling clutch slave cylinder. no experiences with this before. looking for advice on...

Look a little further sounds like a simple linkage problen, Maybe a bolt came out or something to that affect. The pedal comes back up by way of clutch springs pushing back on the linkage. Nothing wrong with clutch. Again look at the linkage

No pressure clutch pedal goes straight to the floor 1988 holden r

If hydraulic actuated mechanism, loss of fluid, defective master cylinder or slave cylinder at the clutch. Missing pin or other part between slave cylinder and clutch arm. Loose or broken slave cylinder mounting. Missing pin or broken part between pedal and master cylinder. If mechanical linkage, look for broken components or missing pins at moving joints. If you tried to shift into gear with engine running, you may have damaged the transmission gears.
