Wiring problem left blinker does not work properly

Left hand blinker flashes quickly when used, as if bulb is burnt out, bulb is ok. if cruise control is on and left blinker is activated cruise goes off. Problem has progressed and now cruise wont engage if headlites are on. also blinker lite indicator on dash is always on and when hood is opened and under hood lite comes on so does front left blinker lite. How do I fix the problem with the rear left side indicator blinks really quickly when I press the brake pedal and then the brake light also starts to blink quickly as well. I hope you can help? ?

Your bulb might be burnt since most bulbs that are use for brake light and blinker are also used for lighting the same rear position light. But have you checked the front blinker when this happens? Some cars will act this way when a bulb is burnt. Good luck

Right indicator flashes quick changed back bulb same problem

If bulb is OK;

1. Bulb has a lower wattage than the original. This decreases the load on the blinker module and makes it blink faster.
2. Blinker circuit is burned out or the connection is dirty; look in the fittings for corrosion.
3. Bad earthing can cause this problem.

Good luck!

My left front blinker flashes quickly. - The left

Check for power at the socket. If there is no power I would suspect the flasher relay wich supplies power to each bulb individually after it gets the right or left signal from the switch.

Hello Durant.
Your rear signal lamps are turned on by the body control module (BCM).
You could have some broken wires from the BCM to the rear signals or the BCM isn't providing power to them. The BCM must be getting a signal input because the front ones are functional.
If you want to trace the wires here are the colors you are looking for.
Left rear wire is white/dark green.
Right rear wire is white/brown.
You may need to have your BCM scanned to verify.
If you would like more information to solve this yourself ask me.

HI:
When your blinker blinks really fast, it is usually because one of your bulbs is burnt out. To check this, either have someone watch them, or turn on your 4 way hazard flasher and walk around the car.

2001 Olds Silouhette - The blinker on the dash blinks quickly

NO PROBLEM TURN ON THE RIGHT BLINKER THEN WALK AROUND THE CAR MAKE SURE FRONT AND REAR BULBS ARE FLASHING... IF YOU HAVE A BULB OUT YOU WILL NOT OFFER ENOUGH OF A LOAD TO THE FLASHER... WILL CAUSE IT TO FLASH FAST... IF OK THEN MAKE SURE THE PROPER BULB NUMBER ON BULBS AND MAKE SURE CORRECT BULBS USED IN VEHICLE.... IF OK CHANGE FLASHER
