My 2000 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2 5 speed wont move ahead.

I put my car in the ditch last week, and hoped their was nothing major wrong. But I went last night to go pick up my GF and put it in first gear to take off and let the clutch out but it just would only move a tiny bit.
So im not sure? their might be some fluid in the driveway if that has anything to do with it?

2000 pontiac sunfire 5 speed manual transmission with 40,000 miles on the clutch started slipping what's going on with it

a clutch can wear out in a couple hundred miles if not driven properly or abused-at 40,000 miles it is highly possible that the clutch disk is worn to the point that it needs to be replaced. You might be able to get away with driving it but avoid driving it is such a way that it slips-if you can hear the engine running 'ahead' of the car (revving faster than you are moving) get off the gas-especially in higher gears. If you do this until you can get the clutch replaced, you should be able to nurse it along for months.

Car ran fine went in store came out and tried to start it and nothing

check the recall on your 2000 sunfire they have 3 recalls on the car that maybe one of your problems if so it will be no charge to get it fixed. They did have a recall concerning the ignition switch that can get over heated and can catch a fire in the steering column even if the car is off and the key out. So go to 2000 sunfire make a copy of the recalls and get to your dealer hope this helped.

Why wont my 2000 sunfire start?

starter relay, ignition switch, park switch.need to use a volt meter and start at the starter, see if you have at least 12 volts.if there is have the battery tested.does your head lights come on?next no voltage, go to the fuse box under the hood and check for (2) 12 volt powers with the key on and a good ground.if ok replace the relay.next move the trans shifter to neutral with foot on brake and try and start if it starts you need park switch.if not next is the ign.switch to test, you will need to locate the starter wire and check for voltage when starting if none replace the ign.switch hope this helped.also the alternator has nothing to do with the cranking of the engine on this car.

2000 Sunfire coolant problem. Engine overheating, changed water pump, thermostat, put new head gasket, checked head, no warp. Started car, went to temperature, blows water out of reservoir. Checked...

ok, its time for a radiator flush. there is major sludge in the internals of this radiator. Make sure the thermostat is in the correct position as well. I've seen many cars come into my shop with the thermostat inserted backwards.

Pontiac sunfire 2000

You might want to test your alternator and check your power connections to make sure they are tight and don't have corrosion.
