Oil pressure drops and truck shuts off

I have to ask if you are sure the oil pressure drops first, or the engine stops first. The engine would stop if the oil pressure dropped below 5psi but only because the fuel pump would shut off. And it should start back up if that were the reason.
If something such as a relay or the ignition module is getting hot and killing the engine, it might have to cool down before it restarts. And the engine would stop then the oil pressure would drop to zero.

98 Toyota camry temp guage slow to rise but car feels if overheating.

The slow rising temp gauge points to a thermostat which has failed and stuck open. This is easy to replace.

At the same time the gauge will tell you if the car is overheating.

Is it losing coolant at all? A hot smell can result from leaking coolant getting on the exhaust manifold.

The smell can also result when leaking engine oil gets onto the exhaust. Camrys of that era had several characteristic oil leaks

- from the rear of the cam cover, especially on a V6
-from the distributor shaft o-ring
-from the oil filter-to-engine block mounting adapter (if fitted)

My 1994 toyota camry slowed down and than i let off gas and than it shut off. when i tried to start it again, it just made a sound like it wanted to turn over but it would not start

gunked up injectors or ailing /bad fuel pump that would explain the suttle and or sudden shut down. but without testing those one could not know 100% so u have a couple places to start.

I have a 4 cyl 91 Camry ...the transmission seems to be slipping and when i am on a hill i usually put my left foot on the brake and the right on the gas ...do a EZ rev and get the transmission to engage...

Hi and Welome to fixya.com.

Changing the Gearbox oil is fine but this is nothing to do with your clutch slipping, sounds has if you need to replace the whole clutch unit.
Best regards.
