Filled gas tank and gas gauge almost still reads empty and digital readout still shows 5 miles left till needing to refill tank.
The sending unit in gas tank is broken - hence the wrong readings of how much gas is in the tank. Replace unit.

according to Kelly Blue Book your gas milage is spot on. Be careful with K&N air filters, they are a performance part and they may affect any warrenty you might have. Plus I have seen them give Mass Airflow Sensors problems.

it could be a problem with your fuel sending unit it could be bad or stuck in the down(empty)position... that is the most likely problem but if it is a fuse it would be listed under gauge it is in the drivers compartment fuse box it will be a 10 amp fuse
