HOW DO I FIND SHOCK ABSORBER STRUTS AND UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS FOR MY DIAMANTE V6 DIAMANTE

Hard to find parts for a Damante, I'd call around junk yards for the control arms. You can probably find an aftermarket replacement for the struts at a parts store. Take them with you so you can find a reasonable facsimile.

I have a 2002 Tahoe LT with Autoride, when getting tires replaced I noticed one front and one rear shock were leaking, replacement quote was approx $550 each. Does a leaking shock need to be replaced...

Hello, my name is Shaun. I will do my best to help you out with your problem. As far as your shocks needing to be replaced ASAP, i would say it's not an emergency. Worn shocks will result in a pretty bouncy ride, and if let go long enough, could result in irregular tire wear, but your truck won't fall apart if you don't change them today. Ultimately, the spring is what holds your truck in the air, the shock is just there to absorb impact and make your ride a little more comfortable. They also help in cornering, so expect a little bit of over-steer, as your truck will roll more quickly in tight turns. The shocks should be replaced in pairs, as different shocks have different ride qualities. (i.e both fronts, then both backs.) The Monroe shocks are okay, but they don't last quite as long as a higher end shock. At the price they quoted, you could buy a higher-end shock, do the work yourself, and still save a ton of money. And yes, it is basically as simple as unbolting the old shock and replacing it with the new. My advice to you would be to purchase a Haynes manual for your truck when you purchase the shocks. This will give you step-by-step instructions to change the shocks and will also be a valuable asset should other problems arise. Hope this helped you out, and if you have any more in-depth questions, feel free to reply to this answer and i will get back to you. Have a great day!

Fitting front shocks to a lucida 1994 diesel

PLEASE do not remove the center nut! what you have are called struts. The center nut is what holds the strut/spring together. removing the center nut will cause the strut to come apart with a force that could at worce kill you. Remove the 3 surrounding nuts then the two bolts at the bottom of the strut replace with new. You will have to have a front wheel allignment when done.

Information on how to change rear shock absorbers

with great difficulty, three bolts hold the plate that takes the top bush/mounting .jack vehicle up and support with axle stand .Another jack under rear axle ,jack this one up till cars starts to lift then fit the spring clamps and compress the spring.Next undo the 3/4 13mm headed bolts that hold the plate to the chassis ,if you can release them???---??? ,then next using a small bottle jack take the strain on the bottom of the shock absorber and then remove the bolt ,lower the jack and the top one will lower as well ,undo the two nuts on the top mounting and pull the old shock absorber out .Or what i do if back is dancing and thats to do as above to support vehicle ,support lower of shock absorber ,remove the bolt and then jack it up ,then drill a small hole about an inch from the top of the tube and then thread it ,refill the shock absorber with a heavier oil like dextron .fit a bolt into the hole with a rubber washer and its as good as new
