I have 1995 Mercury Villager with 2 front wheels drive , I think my car has automatic gearbox problem because the car losing power it can only goes 20 MPH . When the car just start going it seems normal but when it gets 20 MPH the car start making noise from the engine , changing gear from 0 to gear 1 is normal but changing from gear 1 to gear 2 it seems like the gear stuck on gear 1 and doesn't change to gear 2 so my car can only goes with gear 1 . Please tell me how can I solve this problem. Thank You.
Does it start in neutral and park? if yes, linkage should be ok. The trans has it's own computer. you can buy used for about $50 from EBay or car-part.com

yes the car start in neutral and park the problem is not to start the car , but the problem is changing gear while driving it seems stuck on gear 1 can't go with gear 2.
no, it's not flashing. I think is the gear problem it doesn't change the gear properly, not computer or speed sensor.
