If you are talking about a key for the lug nuts, it will depend on if the wheels are from Ford.

I beleve all heavy duty trucks would have a axle nut to adjust/hold it in.

There are several different configurations depending on the emission package on the vehicle. there was a 3 digit code on the emission label to tell you which set up you have, because there is federal/California, medium duty, heavy duty, light duty, high altitude, etc..

there is no old style or new style for a 2001 5.9L, but there is heavy duty or Savior duty gaskets but they are all maid the same just with better materials.

there was a tsb on loss of 4x4 electrical A flashing 4X4 lamp and/or a intermittent or loss of power windows, interior lights, rear wiper, or 4x4 system. the loss of 4x4 system was from a module.

IVE GOT 1989 F250HD XL 7.3 DIESEL 4X4 SUPERCAB. ITS GOT HEAVY DUTY ZF 5 SPEED TRANNY..

If you have the FX4 option, it does. The FX4 models are basically a standard 4x4 with an Off Road package that includes a few extras like upgraded heavy duty Rancho shocks, limited-slip rear differential, added skid plates for the fuel tank and transfer case, and two "FX4" decals on both back bed-sides instead of the standard "4x4".

I checked the Ford truck forums and found nothing out of the usual for limited-slip differentials as far as having problems. Older years yes, current year don't seem to have problems.

check that shroud difference is not a fan to core 'clearance' issue.
1. drill new holes in shroud ?
2.fabricate a bracket out of strap steel to bolt them together ? 3. go back to advanced auto for heavy duty ready shroud ?

try a salvge yard or at Ford dealership,be careful that from 92-96 they have changed alot,between light duty an heavy duty,and the difference in years as well.But i think you will be ok with used from 94-96,and i think that the heavy duty has a ratchet nut verses just a nut to hold the hub on
