While replacing clutch bracket assembly the steering wheel was loosened and set to the side to give more room under the dash...when everything was reassembled the horn did not work and the air bag light has stayed on...i'm thinking something in the clock spring area has been raddled loose...i have checked all fuses, relays and connections which leads me to the clock spring...

replace the clock-spring ribbon contact under the steering wheel, that is the problem, u have lost the connection due to a broken ribbon contact.

If the horn works with direct connection, and fuse, relay, and circuit breaker are all good, it's the switch in the steering wheel. If it is anything like the chrysler auto's, the switch and the air bag module is all one unit, can't replace just the switch, the whole thing, and it's about $700 to $800 for those units, at least it is here, and can only get them at a dealer.

most new cars have what is called a clock spring be hind the steering wheel.this is a flat ribbon cable like what you would Se in a computer.what can happen when the ribbon is damaged is the horn can quit working.the cruse control .and the air bag light will come also.but most likely one of the problems will occur.but over time the other problems start happening also.so are you sure you are getting power to the relay .use a volt meter on the terminals under the relay and have someone to push the horn button.this will tell you if you are getting power from the horn button.
