I have a 1997 chevy blazer Ls.....just recently my truck just died while i was driving....when you turn the key to the ACC position, it doesnt get any of the dash lights, like the check engine light, the brake light, seat belt etc....it also wont come out of park even if you have your foot on the break and the key turned....as soon as the dash lights went out it got stuck in park.....please email me if you know the problem at [email protected]
Same just happend 2 me,was told it was the neutral safety switch -but didnt start in neutral-took 2 shop 400 later it was the ignition switch runs great again hope i helped
Sounds like a fuseable link has blown, common problem a easy to repair.
Could be the nuetral/start safety switch, or the linkage to the transmission pin has come loose and jammed.
