Why not post a real question, and not a noun.
that way we get on same page,?
the tps in this g16a org16b engine has 2 side.
the throttle angle, tp pin
and the idle switch (0v idle, 5v not idle) and is calibrated.
amazing how fixya moves wrong answers to answered sections.
making this hard for folks with facts to find your post. sad.
here is the facts, (with full fsm proof)
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/tests/tps-testing.html
better post full symptoms
and if engine is 8v or 16v
engine vin 6 is 16v and vin u is 8v.
the 8v has black valve cover
the 16v has alum silver cover, shouts, 16 valves on top.
so....

what does engine do wrong,
or is cruise dead
or is tps fibbing to 4 speed transmission
or? we can to all suzuki fails.

if the ecu , flashs out TPS DTC error, didit, that is real, and means its open or shorted ,(hard) cut wires, grounded wire to it. need flash code to tell you what wire. do tell.

They are battery powered. When the battery dies, you have to change them. The reader for them to be tested is usually at a tire shop or dealer.

Where is Throttle Position Sensor and Fuel Flow Sensors located on a 2011 Dodge Avenger 2.4, 4 cylinder located?

double posted. i see your working backward. now (backup one post)
why not scan the PCM,. or at least post the DTCs/ reported.????
why not< are you working on this car blind, no scantool? FAIL ! you will says YODA.!
and again no symptoms, why not post the symptoms a guessing with TBW is very very $$$$$$$$
TBW = throttle by wire.
The part will take a factory quick learn if replaced. TB

2.4L
the TPS is mounted to the TB< the throttle body
what is a throttle body , its that big thing on the intake pipe
that has a butterfly valve inside that allows all air to enter the engine.
it is the actual THROTTLE. its electric motor evacuated.
the TPS can NOT be bought. its INTEGRTATED to motor and body..
DTCS"
go this ?
P060E-ETC LEVEL 2 TPS PERFORMANCE
or
P0124-TPS/APP Intermittent
Theory of operation
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system uses two Throttle Position Sensors (TPS) to monitor the throttle blade position. The Throttle Position Sensors 1 and 2 are located within the Throttle Body assembly. Each sensor has a 5-Volt reference circuit, a low reference circuit, and a signal circuit. Processors are also used to monitor the ETC system data. The processors are located within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Each signal circuit provides the processors with a signal voltage proportional to throttle blade movement. The processors share and monitor data to verify that the indicated TPS calculation is correct.

just cleaning the throttle plate can do wonder.
all cars.
do so key off, or battery minus lug disconnected (per FSM rules)
TPS disagrees is more serious.
the motor can fail, or the valve stick or the TPS can lie.
that is about all there is, unless it fails for foot TPS angles.
but all that is found out scanning.
no scan information you will fail
no FSM, fail too. the fsm covers the tests step by step.

last , the free look online.

this is all that comes off the TB.
not much. ( no TPS, sorry)
http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=4381967&ukey_assembly=1122069&ukey_make=1062&ukey_model=15480&ukey_driveline=7008&ukey_trimlevel=18695&modelYear=2011

and is very expensive. $200
want to do that on a wild guess?
clean it ,
fixed now?
no? then do the relearn by the book
fixed, now>?

P0123 2004 jeep liberty

ok that is easy as 123, and google is your friend.

first tech answer.
Trouble Code: 123
TP Sensor/APPS Circuit High Input Number of Trips to Set Code: 1
Trouble Code Conditions:
Key on or engine running; system voltage over 10v. The PCM detected the TP Sensor indicated more than 4.47v (Neon, Sebring, Stratus, Viper, Liberty) or 4.94v (all other models) for 0.48 second. If equipped, ETC light will illuminate.
Possible Causes:
  • Related TP Sensor engine DTCs present
  • Intermittent wiring or connector problem
  • TP signal circuit is open or is shorted to battery voltage or to 5v supply circuit
  • TP sensor has failed
  • TP sensor ground circuit is open
  • PCM has failed
--------------------------------
Bar room answer:
The TPS device, failed 1 time.
This device is Throttle angle sensor, senses your right foot actions.
bad TPS
or ground to it is cut. (broken wire at TPS) lool
what should i do,? willy nelson says?
you should reset all DTCs with the scan tool and pray it does not return. if returns, its busted fix it.

Need to know how many sensor. is on my transmission.. 2003 Pontiac Montana v 6 .. can you show me picture where transmission control solenoid goes?

There are 12 common sensors and 10 internal sensors. The most common that often fail (MAP), (TPS), (CAM), (IGN), (CRANK) MAP is your mass air flow which is located at the beginning of your air intake, TPS is the throttle body position sensor, the CAM is the cam shaft position sensor (transmission), IGN ignition position sensor and the CRANK sensor is located near the bottom driver side front

Is a Throttle Position Sensor the same thing as a Transmission control Module

The TPS ( THOTTLE POSITION SENSOR) tells the engine computer and trans how far you are pushing the gas pedal. Its mounted on the side of the thottle body. It will make the engine surge if it is failing. Have replaced this part many times for this problem. TCM (TRANS CONTROL MODULE) control trans shifting. The tps is and one of the input sensor for shifting.

Whare is the TPS sensor located on a huyndai 2007 2.7 L? Does the throttle body have to be replaced along with the TPS sensor. Is the replacement sensor rivited to the throttle body? Scott

on the hyundai the tps rarely fails. so check the pedal sensor on pedal of car. there are 2 sensors on this car, one on side of carburator, and one at accelerater pedal check this one first. the throttle body does not need to be changed to fix the tps. but usually it is located on the throttle body. at the throttle plate.

1992 K1500, code 22, clicking noise from throttle body, will not accelerate properly, changed TPS with no change

OBD Code 22 - Throttle Position Sensor Error (Signal Low)
The Throttle Position sensor signals the Engine Control Module as to the current position of the engine throttle valve. The current throttle valve opening is based on the driver's input from the gas pedal. The ECM uses the information from this sensor to help calculate fuel delivery and spark timing.

Symptoms:
* Extended cranking, possible no-start condition
* Lack of power
* Erratic transmission operation

Common Problems:
* A failed Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) would be the most common causes for code 22
* Testing the TPS circuit would involve checking voltage and ground from the ECM-5v is the normal reading between the ECM reference circuit and the ECM ground circuit at the TPS connector. Checking the TPS signal circuit to the ECM would involve monitoring the TPS signal on a scan tool while jumping the 5v reference and the signal circuits. The TPS reading should go from high when the circuit is "jumpered" to low when the jumper is removed.

While car is running it idles up and down . all sensors and valves have been replaced even tps and pulled code and it still said tps is bad

if your still showing a tps sensor fail then you may have faulty wiring, i have done alot where this is a sign of intake manifold gasket failure making the vehicle have unstable idle.

2000 FORD CONTOUR AND WHEN I START IT AND PRESS ON GAS IT BACK FIRES AND TURNS OFF

Is the service engine soon light on? I would suspect, based on your description, the TPS sensor may be open or the temperature sensor may have failed.
When you open the throttle the TPS sends the accelerator pedal information to the engine controller so the engine controller can add fuel and allow you to accelerate. If the TPS does not send the correct throttle position to the engine controller, no fuel is added and the engine stalls.
If the coolant sensor has failed, your fuel mixture will not be correct and engine can stall when accelerating.
If the service engine soon light is on, your mechanic will be able to determine which sensor has failed.
Hope this helps, good luck.
