I have a Holden Cruze 2002 and the radio needs a code, though I don't have the log book anymore...! Can anyone help me?!

Hi Tracey Is it a Holden genuine radio if so they are the only ones that can get you the code. A radio specialist might be able to help but I doubt it. If the radio is not genuine then you will have to get a radio specialist to help. There are far to many codes for a specific unit, I would very much doubt if any one could help even with supplying the L3 number Good luck

Hi Jenny You need to go to Holden's for this code. They may have to remove the radio for information so there might be a charge, enquire on booking. Search through all your paper work first including purchase invoice and hand book in case someone has made a note of it. There are hundreds if not thousands of numbers used . Good luck

You will need to go to a Holden dealer for the code if it is still in the data base.

There are numerous causes for the check engine warning light to display.

You need to have the vehicle scanned for fault codes to see what fault codes the vehicle's computer has generated. Once that has been done the mechanics can diagnose the causes of those fault codes and then make what ever repairs or parts replacements that may be needed. It may only be a minor issue. You cannot assume what the likely problem might be and replace parts and hope for the best.
I suggest you either get the car to Holden service or to an independent mechanic who is familiar with the Cruze and has the necessary diagnostic equipment.

If you are talking about an input code, then call the manufacturer with the chassis number and see if they have a log. If they don't though, then there's nothing you can do with it I'm afraid.

Does anyone have any tips for obtaining the radio security code in an Astra without having to fork out the $25 - $33 being quoted by all the Holden dealers i've contacted?,

post radio chassis number then i might be able to generate the code if the numbers are right ,take the radio out to find the chassis number of the radio
