The trunk release lever works fine however, I have to prop something beneath it to keep the trunk latch unlocked. The lever does not keep the lock disengaged when I pull and release it, only when it stays in the pulled (up) position.

Sparay lock assy with lubricant, and look where release cable attaches to lock assy, and push/pry it one way or the other to get it to move, opposite of where it is. Lube cable too.

just need adjusting or probably the wire is broken/loose

The trunk latch is not adjusted correctly. I suggest that you losen the bolts that hold the bottom latch and slide it up about 1/8 to 1/4. Then try it. Keep adjusting it till it latches. That should do the trick. Good luck.

if it wont open at all ! remove back seat and get inside trunk to release the lid.
Locate the interior hood-release lever under the dashboard on the driver's side of the interior of the car.
Lift up and toward you on the hood release lever. The lever is connected to a cable that releases the hood. The hood will pop up about 1/2 inch when you pull the lever.
Move to the front of the car and locate the exterior hood-release lever under the front of the hood. It is located near the middle of the vehicle, just beyond where the front edge of the hood meets the body. Lift up on the inner lever.
Lift up on the edge of the hood while holding the inner lever in place. When the hood is up, find the hood prop and raise it, setting its tip in the hood-prop mount on the hood, to hold the hood up while you work in the engine bay.
