I think you are not getting the air out of the clutch hydraulic cylinders, have the system reverse bled by a shop.

SOURCE: hydrolic clutch leaks. How do I replace clutch

its easy to do on a vauxhaul nova ,but they have a cable as i remember so i wouldt know if this is a different vehicle to a opel /vauxhall with the same name ,but even so its not that difficult ,slave will have two bolts holding it on and the master will also have two bolts holding it to the firewall ,When bleeding it out put a big screwdriver or bar behind the clutch arm and pull it in to teh slave cylinder then it will bleed the slave out better and you can feel the pressure build up ,difficult to explain but it does make it work

02 accent slave cylinder leak and gear grind

Does the car want to pull when sitting still in gear with your foot on the clutch? If so, I would say that your clutch is not fully engaging and could be the cause of your grinding when changing gears. If not then I would think the clutch is operating fully and the synchros are worn and need replaced. But either way, with metalic fluid being in the slave cylinder dust boot, the slave cylinder needs changed.

My clutch wont go into any gear unless i force it.. And it grinds on going in reverse. is it the master/slave cylinder the problem. or the clutch? please help!!!

Hopefully you got a warranty with the clutch job, so I would take it back to that shop first. If you have someone else work on the truck the first shop is off the hook for responsibility. Its possible the clutch has failed, or you have developed a new problem.

Just replaced slave cylinder now grinds going into second gear

Sounds like it was being forced before and through out the syncro to the gear, not a hard thing to fix but very time consuming.

Clutch problems

Hi bosslady15,

First of all I think I should say that clutches do not make grinding noises - but transmission gears do.
However, a clutch that is not disengaging properly can make the gears grind when trying to shift from one gear to the next. Also a common source of noise is the clutch throwout bearing. This will make a "grinding" or "growling" noise any time the clutch pedal is depressed. In either of these cases, the only solution is to replace the clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate and pilot bushing. These all usually come in a clutch kit. If you have an hydraulic clutch with an internal slave cylinder it is recommended to replace the slave cylinder as well and also the flywheel on on vehicles. I'm sorry I cannot be more specific because you did not mention what type of vehicle we are talking about here.

I have to force it into 1st and 2nd gear and the other gears grind when I shift even though I have the clutch all the way in. Today couldn't start the car while it was in gear......it acted like I didn't...

I BELIVE MAZDA HAS A HYD CLUTCH SYSTEM SOUND LIKE SYSTEM IS EMPTY
OF FLUIDE AND NOT ACTIVATING THE SLAVE CYLINDER THAT ACTUATE THE CLUTCH
MOST TIME THE SLAVE CYLINDER IS LEAKIG AND NEED REPLACMENT YOU ALSO NEED TO BLEED THE AIR OUT AFTER REPLACING

Replaced starter now grinds

Loosen the starter bolts and push it away / reposition it farther from the flywheel (circumference) then retighten the bolts. Then try it again. It is rare that a rebuilt starter is defective but... it does happen.

some aftermarket masters don't push enough fluid to the slave to disengage the clutch even from the same maker
