I just replaced the low-beam bulb on my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. The grill just needs to be loosed slightly. Then, raise two L shaped brackets, one on each side. For the inside one, I needed to use a flathead screwdriver to get to it. The light assembly can then be pulled out. Remove the rubber cover and rotate the bulb one quarter turn left to release it. Pull out the bulb, replace with a new one ($11.50) from Advance Auto Parts, and reverse the process. Once I figured it out, took about 10 minutes total.

When the hood is open there are two pins that have to be pulled. they have a 90 degree bent end that have to be rotated and pulled directly up. once both are pulled the headlight can be slid out and headlight changed.

I have an easier way for the bulbs. The problem child is the left side, or the side near the air cleaner. Take 2-3 screws out of the top of the air cleaner and remove the top and move the air cleaner out of the way. You'll have tons of room now. The otherside (passengers) is the easy one, just stick your arm back there to change it.

Correction, the easy side is the Drivers side NOT the passengers.

I agree with solution # 2. The grill has to be pulled out partially to allow the light to fall forward. Just pull on the grill and it snaps out and easily back in. Once the grill is loose, the light comes forward, but you may want to take out the turn signal first as this will give you more room to work with. Then take off the rubber cap covering the light, twist the bulb and remove it from the plastic housing. Reverse the process. If I can do it, anyone can.

SOURCE: 2003 trailblazer low beam headlights go out

Check your dimmer switch on your steering column. Your plug may be loose or not getting a good connection. Your dimmer switch may be going bad as well. The same thing happened on my 1994 Chevy, but the lights never came back on, on mine. I found that the dimmer switch had gone bad. If this is the case, I recommend buying one from your local chevy dealer and spending the extra money. I went through two that I bought through napa before buying a OEM replacement because the napa ones just didn't last.

No lowbeam headlights...bulbs have been replaced but still no lowbeam

The 2003 Trailblazer has separate fuses for each headlight. Check the fusebox under the hood near the battery. A complete diagram showing you where the low beam fuses are can be found in your vehicle owner's manual.

Head light bulb replacement 2003 chevy trailblazer

Simple! (I have the same model as well) Pop off the front chevy grill - it's held on with spring clips. Then look at the headlight assembly - there are 2 slide clips on either side, near the top - they have a tab that is bent forward - lift them UP. It may take a little force as they are usually stiff. The headlight assembly can then be pulled off the car, and the bulbs replaced.
