Rear defroster cord disconnected

I snagged the defroster cord on the rear window of my 2003 1500 Suburban. What type of adhesive do I use to reattach it?

Thanks for your input friends. I wasn't sure if the defroster cord conducted heat or electricity at the point of disconnect. Thanks again.

This must be soldered on, it is an electrical connection, a good repair shop or the new car dealer is the best bet to fix this, u can't use glue or any type of adhesive. If you try to do this solder job and apply to much heat the window heater grid will be ruined and then u are stuck, so if u do have a good solder pensil and the correct type of acid free solder u may be able to fix it yourself.

Reattach rear defrost cords to window?

There are some things like liquid solder that can be used to mend this, Another thing would be to go to a burglar alarm company dealing with glass windows, because the alarm tape is added to existing windows.

I have a 2003 Alero, replaced relay switch and fuse under the bonet for the rear defrost, all wires hooked up...no lines broke.. rear defrost button lights up , but rear defrost dont work. Are there any...

There is a connector going to rear defrost on the rear window. Disconnect this and check for voltage with defrost on. If this is good, check resistance for the connection to window. This will tell you if the electrical is working or the element is bad for the window if there is a open reading on multimeter.

Rear window just got broke in rain storm. how do you replace it? it has the rear window defogger wires in it too.

Remove the trim thats around the window, run piano string between the body and the glass (wear gloves) that helps break the bond of the adhesive. Go to your local parts to get new adhesive, and your local junk yard should have glass (go to a yard that pulls the part for you, they cost about $80.00 used). I am not to sure how to do the hook-up for the defroster. Email at [email protected] and I'll go into more details.

You have to solder it on with a soldering iron and silver solder, if you can't do it any local shop should be able to for a minimal fee.

Passenger side rear compartment window - antenna in glass?

Depends, could be defroster could be antenna for radio, could be both. IF you don't see an antenna on your hood on passenger side then its most likely the antenna.
