does the roof lamp work? if not then means your Vehicle in transport mode. to have it in normal mode you need to take it to a dealer or something equivalent to have the job done by approved diag. machine

press and hold botton down till the window get to the botton and stops then without stopping press and hold up and when the window gets to the top wait 2 seconds the the display should say window set then you can let go

do this for each window and sun roof

SOURCE: Sunroof Range Rover one side does not function

It has a broken slide rail and this will need to be replaced. It is a common issue. Big job, roof lining and whole sunroof needs to come out to access.

when you pelacing the batterie you should make the settings again for windows and sunroof and you will make it manual

There is a resynchronize key procedure to re-enable windows / mirrors operation.
The full instruction is in the owners handbook.
You will need the EMERGENCY KEY to complete the programming.

THEY ARE THE MOST DEDICATED DIE HARD FANS.
PLEASE BOOKMARK IT.

The FULL and DETAIL instruction is on this page 1/3 way down.
Once again,you will need to locate the EMERGENCY KEY before you cal complete the re-sync process..
The windows and mirrors re-sync is in the owners handbook.
If you can not locate it then please let mw know.

Window not set warning on 2000 land rover range rover
On Rovers, if the battery is disconnected or the truck otherwise looses power, the windows have to be opened and closed completely to allow the computer to learn the normal travel of each.
Sunroof too if equipped.
Should be in your owners manual which is a must have.

Rear winshield wipers won't work
Sounds like you have a stripped arm or the linkage has came apart in the rear for the rear wiper.
The sunroof? I am not sure. check fuses.

Interior condensation
I had this exact same problem when ever it rained with our 1999 Range Rover.
Even the spare tire area in the back filled up but didn't know it until I got a flat tire.
Two things were wrong.
The sunroof leaked and we didn't know it. Also the seal all around the frontwindshield was not sealed tight but didn't know as neither of these were obvious. We ended up using "duct tape all over the roof around the sunroof and I meen a lot of tape! It looked bad from the sky, however stopped leaking 100% Dont use the sunroof if you have one until summer, remove wet tape periodically and inspect. Hope this helps! :)

I own a '99 Range Rover 4.6 hse. I recently reinstalled a battery that had gone dead. I cranked the engine but the alarm went off and the vehicle did not start. I am getting this message: gearbox fault. I...
Unfortunately, there is a trick to replacing the battery.
1) Open the Driver side door.
2) Open the Bonnet and take the battery cover off.
3) Use your remote to lock and unlock the car (keeping the driver side door open)
4) Pull the Negative Lead from the battery first, followed by the Positive Lead.
5) Change or replace with charged battery.
6) Closed down Bonnet.
7) Your windows, sunroof, and key FOB will not work... so follow the next steps.

7a) Insert your key, with door closed into the exterior lock on driver's side.
7b) While turning the key to lock the door, hold down the "lock" button on your remote for 5 seconds while in "lick" position
7c) Your remote will reset, and you should be able to use your remote now
7d) While driving, roll each window down twice. On your third attempt, you should only have to touch the window button, and the window will have reset

Range rover sport electrical problem. Fault messages on dash. Speedometer does not work but electronic brake does. ABS light on but brakes appear to work well. Stabilitj proamme light and does not work.

My 1996 landrover discovery only the drivers side window works the sunroofs work but my other 3 door windows dont work at all any help would be usefull
check and see if the window lock is on or not, driver side window and sunroof will still function when window lock is activated however, the other windows will not work, even by the drivers control, it should be the button on the top right next to your power door lock switch,
