No hear in passengers compartment - Cars & Trucks

It is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment up by the cowl. It has a rubber cover on it. Push it in and if it resets you will feel/hear a click.

Probably a relay burning out Pull the panel, locate the buzzing source and replace it.

Noises can be tough...especially over the internet where the noise cannot be heard....WHERE are you hearing the noise? Does it sound like it is INSIDE the passenger compartment or OUTSIDE, like in the engine compartment"?

The 2001 model Aztex has 2 cabin filters, they usually come 2 to a box when you buy them.
The charcoal carbon filters are the best.

Removal:

•Open the IP compartment door.
•Remove the rear inside IP compartment door.
•Open the HVAC module assembly access door
•Remove the RH passenger compartment air filter from the HVAC module.
•Slide the LH passenger compartment air filter to the HVAC module opening.
Remove the LH passenger compartment air filter from the HVAC module.

Installation Procedure:

•Install the LH passenger compartment air filter into the HVAC module opening.
Slide the LH passenger compartment air filter toward the left side of the HVAC module.
•Install the RH passenger compartment air filter into the HVAC module opening.
•Close the HVAC module assembly access door.
•Install the rear inside IP compartment door.
•Close the IP compartment door.

Yes it should have a drain. Look under the vehicle on the passenger side toward the bottom of the firewall.

under the dash board there are little valves with vacuum lines running to them listen for the door that is clicking that would be your problem area.

Open up the sunroof and try to unclog the drainage. You will see this from the inside of the ML by opening the whole sunroof and stickin your hear thru. On the drivers side you will see a drainage whole similar to the passenger side. Mine did the same thing and unclogged it with a straw. [email protected]

if you can hear clicking chances are your motors are shot

HOPE IT'S NOT PISTON SLAP, IF LACK OF MAINTANENCE WAS THE CASE MAY BE INTERNAL DAMAGE OR VALVETRAIN DAMAGE. IF IT RUNS ROUGH MAYBE SOMETHING ON ROTATING ASSY DAMAGED.
