1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It has working head lights, brake lights and turn signals. When the the head lights are ON the interior lights do not dim as they should. There are no running lights ( amber corner lights front/rear) and there is no tailights. Replaced bulbs and checked fuses? Help? Please?
Id look at the headlight switch and do some voltage tests to see whats coming out of there. Pay close attention to any wires which look like someone was in there already.People can mess stuff up faster and better than the vehicle can by itself!
not all about the wiring...check output from switch!!!!!!!!!!
This is where my not being there, actually looking at it becomes a big disadvantage. I'd try to get some location info from a dealer or a good shop. Even with many years experience I've had to go that route at times. Personally, I don't know why they chose to over complicate a simple system,(but then, it's getting to the point that you cant even buy a mousetrap that does not have a computer chip in it) but I'd either ask, or start physically tracing back wires, starting at the light sockets themselves. It's really not difficult, but takes a lot of time..Eventually you will get to a point where power goes in, but does not come out.
Sorry I can't offer more than this... I'ts just a case where I'd have to be there to do anything really helpful!!!

Thanks for the reply thundergod. I have owned this vehicle since new. I know there hasnt been any shady wiring work. Thanks for the info!
I cant seem to find any issues with the switch. I was looking at a Haynes manual and was noticing 2 modules 1) LOM (lamp outage module) and 2) Ultralight Sentinal for the automatic headlights. Anyone know where these two units are located? Could this be my problem?
brake lights
say rear light faliure when driving
