try saying what dont work exactly , instead of just central.......
what you need is to buy a wiring adapter for your car.it only cost about 15 bucks and plugs right in to your original plugs that were connected to your factory radio.the great thing about this adapter is that you dont hava to cut your original plug off just in case if you ever want to reinstall your original back.also the wires that go to your new headunit are color coded to match the exact colors that you connect to your stereo.you can't mess your connection up because all you have to do is connect each wire to the right color, tape them up,connect your stereo and you have music with all of your speakers working like they should and without any headaches.i hope this info helps.take care and good luck, manny
I have just pulled out my original perfectly working '05 Corola single CD radio unit and have it in my hand. The label on top lists a Model NO. 86120-02430 ..... Rererence NO. CQ-JS7460X
Replaced with a Kenwood MP3 player, planning on selling original unit at a garage sale.
only stateside ??duck tape/gaffer tape ,you will need to go to dealer to get a new rubber because the moulding is different on nearly every motor .Wonder the police havent pulled you over to check papers and search car then issue a denuncia for driving an unfit motor vehicle
Any auto parts or car stereo sales & service place should have what you need. Just explain your going from your type of car, to what stereo you bought.
You do need to pull off the inner door panel. After the panel is off, you are going to need to disconnect the lock rods from the outer handle and the key cylinder to the door latch mechanism. You will need a long 1/4" drive ratchet and extension, and a 10 millimeter socket. The outer handle is held on by 2 10 mm bolts, you access them thru the inner part of the door. There is a hole provided, with clear tape over it, that will lead you to the harder to see bolt. After the bolts are out, remove the handle, swap the key cylinder into the new handle, and reinstall. Not hard at all.
ok... the 98 corolla (that i know of) only comes equipped with the tape deck and radio, you probably have a after market radio, these are easy to replace, you can buy any standard cd player to replace yours, even if the wiring harnesses dont match up right, i offer a diagram for the colors and labels on my tips, its fairly easy to do, check it out and good luck!
