The VW Caddy was in an accident and the fuse box in the engine compartment was damaged and the local Mechanic replaced it and ever since I have had problems. Been to two Auto Electricians, but no joy.
I am looking for the wiring diagram for it or for the VW Golf MK V as they are the same, I am told.
If anyone could please forward a copy of the wiring diagram for either model, it would be appriciated

Ok very carefully pull off the mirrior blade. The mirrior blade is clipped but EXTEMELY fragile and will break if forced. From there remove the 2 heated blade wires. The cover is also clipped as you will notice after that is removed. You have to pry with a plastic tip between the cover and hosing near the body of the car while pulling the clips in the housing you see to lift the cover straight up. Once this is done you'll need a t-10 torx screwdriver to remove the lower portion. These screws are when you're looking straight down. With this assembly off you can access the 2 other little screws holding the flasher to the bottom cover. Remove the wires and the little clip and there you go. Installation is reverse.

You do not need the spring. It was only for keeping the seat back from rattling.

SOURCE: Mk 5 Golf bonnet won't lock. Tried lubricating and
the bonnet cable should be a 2 piece system,trace the cable from the lock and you should find the join,undo and try again to lock manually with a screwdriver.possibly the cable could be siezed.
