Eric may be right.I would bet on the blower resistor, but check all fuses-never assume anything.

You might have a bad speed selector switch, or your blower motor resistor is faulty.

Possible low refrigerant or too much head pressure in a/c system. It's called short cycling.

SOURCE: 2002 Ford F150. Cruise control stopped working.

Did you have the recall done on it ?
recall 05S28. Description: Speed Control Deactivation Switch.

It could be a blow fuse in the recall harness, if you did have it done.

Try the self test, and see what the results are. If you do not get it into self test mode, it could be the fuse in teh recall harness that is blown. The 1st revision of the recall harness was an inline ATM fuse, not sure if the revision 2 was the same. If that fuse is blown, the switch is leaking, and should be checked.

Self-Test Diagnostics

WARNING:
This test is a key on engine off (KOEO) test only that is conducted in park only with emergency brake fully engaged.

1. Enter self-test diagnostics by depressing the speed control OFF switch while turning the ignition key ON, making sure the engine does not start and is not running. The speed control indicator on the instrument panel will flash once to indicate that speed control module entered the diagnostic mode. Five additional flashes at this point indicate a defective speed control servo. Release the OFF switch.

2. Press the remaining switches in this sequence: ON, RESUME, COAST and SET/ACCEL.

If the ON switch is not depressed within five seconds after entering the diagnostics mode, the module times out and the procedure must be started over.

The speed control indicator lamp will flash as each switch is depressed. Press each switch in the sequence immediately after the indicator light goes out for the previous switch.

Note:
There will be a slight delay when the last button is pressed and the lamp flashes.

3. A lamp flash with the last button (SET/ACCEL) indicates that the static test passed. If the lamp does not flash with the last button and there are no additional flashes of the lamp, the switch is defective.

If the lamp does not flash with the last button, and additional flashes occur, follow the chart below for trouble codes:

— 2 flashes - BPP defective, circuit is defective, brake applied, CPP switch or jumper (if equipped).

SOURCE: 1992 ford f150 speedometer quit working and ABS

where the speedometer cable goes into the transmission under the car, when removed from the trans there is a small gear that gets worn out over time.. that little gear or the entire speedometer cable needs to be replaced. An easy and inexpensive fix. I believe the ABS light is on because the computer needs the speed of the car to make its calculations for braking. As long as the speedometer is not working, it cannot do that. So after the speedometer cable issue is fixed, that issue should be fixed as well.

1997 Ford Taurus front defrost not working

. Air won't blow out of the floor or center vents just defrost ? Do you have manual or automatic climate control ?
Air Flow Control
Air flow control is accomplished in the following manner:
  • Primary control is through the function selector knob mounted on the A/C-heater function selector switch, which is part of the integrated control panel.
  • The function selector knob has the following positions: OFF, MAX A/C, A/C, PANEL, PANEL/FLOOR, FLOOR, FLOOR/DEFROST and DEFROST. The A/C-heater function selector switch combines a vacuum selector valve with an internal electrical switch.
  • The vacuum selector valve directs source vacuum to various vacuum control motors (18A318). Refer to the Vacuum Control Diagram , System Airflow Schematics and Vacuum Control Chart .
  • Two internal, single-pole electrical switches are also controlled by the A/C-heater function selector switch. The combination of these electrical switches controls the electrical supply to the A/C clutch and heater blower motor switch (18578).
  • The position of the function selector knob determines the manner in which the system will operate.
  • Each position of the function selector knob is detented for positive engagement.
  • Vacuum Control Motors The vacuum control motors (18A318):
    • are located on the A/C evaporator housing, A/C recirculation air duct and heater air plenum chamber (18471).
    • direct system airflow to the vehicle interior as determined by the remote climate control module or manual override.
    • The five-passenger seating configuration has an additional vacuum control motor mounted on the heater air plenum chamber to control airflow to the rear seat A/C register (19893).

My second tank on my f150 isn't working, what can it be?

It is likely the fuel pump in the tank has failed, switch it over and have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to see if you have pressure.

Front end grinding noise in Ford f150. It isn't

You may have wheel bearing issues or if you have a 4x4 the u-joints on the front axle may be needing some attention. I would start by inspecting both for signs of wear and replace them if necessary. This is pretty straight forward mechanical work but get a repair book for your specific truck and read up on both procedures before starting. I use Chilton for my vehicles and it seems to be one of the best with to the point information.
Good luck.

I have replaced the radiator and the heatercore and the thermostat but I am still getting cold air blowing

No way of telling from where I'm sitting but I definitely would check the heater controls (both vacuum and electrical) including blend door actuators on the heater box.

Heat only blows thru defroster ,nothing to floor. Is the valve cable or vacuum and where/ 1992 Ford F150

you have a vacuum leak to the heater control head. It has defaulted to defrost to keep the windshield clear. (It's a requirement).
Check the vacuum hose from the engine intake manifold through the dash panel and into the truck to the control head.
Also, check the vacuum storage canister under the hood for a leak. Some are plastic balls, some are metal cans. You will find a tee in the vacuum line with a check valve where it splits off.
