Tarted car with remote, when we got in turned it on an stalled then showed engine problems, an underneath it car with a lock lit up, when we tried to start again the lights hardly came on an the radio lights just came on for a second and then we heard clicking, so we shut car off then used the remote to lock doors and alarm it an it still was clicking sounds from engine. please help
It is definitely the security system locking you out of the car mine was due to us unhooking the positive side to reset an engine code after fixing an issue ... you can reset it again by unhooking the negative side only or at least that is how we reset ours.... I have the exact same problem. I tried the starter and it wouldnt start the car, then I tried the key and the lights just flash with clicking. I was going to get a new batter today...but now I'm not sure.
Car won't start. Jump did not help. Lights etc. turn on. Engine does not attempt to turn over and there is no clicking sound.
