SOURCE: mercedes c200 elegance 1996 model mis-firing on cylinders 1-4

I beleive your firing order is 1 3 4 2. 1 and 4 are companion cylinders-meaning the piston is up or down at the same time i.e. compression and exhaust stroke both pistons are up and even on the exhaust stroke the ignition fires in order to burn unburnt fuel/ h ve you checked your trigger. There is a good coil testing tool that is placed over the coil and has a magnetic pickup that allows you to see if the coil is being triggered-just because you have power doesn't mean that you will have spark. I would replace your ignition wires and look at your wiring harness very carefully- if it is very brittle and you see bare wires exposed that is your most likley problem because the trigger is working for 1 and 3 and has the crank senser input for all for spark plugs and the cam senser is used for ignition advance and your fuel injection system. try wiggling your harness and see if your coils start to work. wireharnesses are a major problem on mercedes benz vehicles of that era. I hope I have been helpful

SOURCE: 2004 Audi A4 misfire

it is always a good idea to stay with o.e.m parts and yes there is updated parts in the newer coils. and yes the M.A.F will also cause misfire faults but will not make check engine light flash or make car shake and shudder. also check you wire harness going to your coils make sure your ground wires are not cracked. That could be the main culprate. good luck hope this helps

SOURCE: ford mustang - year 2000 - 3.8 liter. The coil pack is out?

I replaced the coil pack to no avail. I also purchase a code reader while at the auto parts store. This device told me cylinder 3 was misfiring (P0303). I found that the spark plug wire had shorted out on the manifold sensor tubes. Replaced that wire and done.

I highly recommend keeping a code reader in your car tool kit. very useful.

I have a 2010 3.7 l Jeep Grand Cherokee. It only has 3 coil packs for all 6 plugs 6 plugs what coil pack number goes to what plug number on the opposite engine

There should be a coil pack for each spark plug so you should have 6 in total, 3 each side. If the coil packs are numbered that number will most likely refer to the cylinder it is for. Coil pack Number 1 is for Cylinder 1, Coil pack Number 2 is for Cylinder 2 and so on.
The cylinders are numbered like this. Stand with the engine beltsand pulleys nearest to you. The RIGHT side of the engine is the ODD numbers and the LEFT side of the engine is the EVEN numbers.
Number 1 is the cylinder nearest to you on the Right side. Number 3 is the middle cylinder on the Right and cylinder Number 5 is the one on the Right that is furthest away from you.
The LEFT side is number 2 nearest to you, Number 4 in the middle and number 6 furthest away from you.

Need the plug order on distributor cap on a 1994 ford explorer

Check out autozone.com. Once you register you can look up all kinds of information for your vehicle. How to information, wiring diagrams, exploded views, firing orders, diagnostic code information, etc. As far as I know the 94 explorer had a 4.0 liter with distributorless ignition. Are you sure you have a 94 explorer with a 4.0 liter engine? On the 4.0 liter the passenger side of the engine are cylinders 1-2-3 the drivers side is 4-5-6. The cylinders should be labeled on the coil pack. The passenger side of the coil pack will be cylinders 1-2-3 from front to back. The drivers side is a little tricky. From front to back it will be cylinders 5-6-4. Lt me know if you have any questions. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f802c54b3

Spark plug wires mismatched. 1996 GMC Sonoma Pickup Truck.

Their is no distributor on a this vehicle from the factory. Their are two coil packs loctated underneath the intake manifold. If the coil packs have not been replaced then they will be labled 1-4 in white numbers next to the terminal. The pack lolcated on the lowerside of the ignition module should be 2 / 3 and the top 1 / 4.
