Truck got hot going to work, when I got off work tried to find water . No gas station had a water station, so I drove home , truck died in my driveway. I let it cool off, added water toit. This morning I tried to start it and it would not start,WHY?
Does it still crank over
regardless never drive a outfit with no water/anti freeze in it
most of the time it will burn out the head gaskets and or warp the headif it will not crank over most likley the engine is shot

Could be a bad thermostat or Temperature Control sensor which controls the fans when the car eeaches a certain degrees. With the car stopped. run to operating temperature until it gets hot. The fans should come on by themselves. If thy dont't it is the temperature control sensor. Do not run the car or overheat the car.. Check coolant/antifreeze level. If low, refill and bleed the radiator and coolant system. By filling up the radiator with 1/2 and 1/2 water /coolant. Run engine . let cool until it can be handled. Very carefully turn radiator cap using thick gloves or bundled up rag. let the air out. Some cars have a bleed bolt(very small) at the outlet from the thermostat to bleed the air out. Either way will do.Repeat until radiator is full.

sounds like the same problem i was just having try changing out your fuel regulator its pretty pricey try to find the cheapest around $75.

Change your fuel filter, it may have gone it's life time and is getting to dirty to let fuel flow properly. Your fuel pump to may be getting weak, if the fuel filter is dirty the pump works harder and heats up and could be over heating the fuel pump relay too. The fuel pump relay i believe is in the glove box behind a panel that say relay, there should be (3) in there and the middle one is the fuel pump's. switch then around after you change the fuel filter and if you get a chance, check your fuel pressure at the shredder valve. Good luck and hope this help's if there is a Auto Zone around you, you can ask to use the fuel pressure gauge to see what fuel pressure you have and they'll have the step by step instructions on how to do it and takes about 5 min to do and will have the fuel filter and step by step to replace that too. My 95 was this way when I bought it and going through the spark and fuel checks I found it wasn't getting fuel. It turned out that I had an intermittent fuel pump relay and it wasn't supplying the voltage to the fuel pump. It was located on the driver side fuse box engine compartment. Cost about $10 dollars. What I did is there are 3 identical relays together in the fusebox performing different functions and when it didn't start I swapped one of the others with the fuel relay to check it and it started.
