The dome lights stay on even after the car is turned off First the ceiling dome light stayed on and we removed the bulb. Next the floor lights came on and would not turn off even after car was off for some time. We removed the two floor bulbs. How do we fix this problem? A guy with a newer Lesabre said to wiggle the little button near door hinge. Is this correct for this year car? Where is the button for a 95?
I would think not correct. GM vehicles of that era were equipped with R.A.P(Random Auxiliary Power) it would keep certain systems on after shutting the car off.....(lights, radio, power windows) for up to 8 minutes. Unless you open the door, that would shut everything down. So if your power is staying on with doors open, most likely one or both of the relays in the RAP is bad

yes there is a relay switch in engine compartment or under dash

better check alternator before it cooks battery, or worse cooks wiring.

I think that your flasher is bad I believe that the 4-ways flasher is a seperate flasher unit it should be in the fuse box and look like the 4-way flasher , to find the flasher turn on the 4-ways and you can feel it or hear it flashing and lok for the flasher for the turn signals

i had this same problem and i alleviated it by replacing the column switch which isnt an easy task and I used a manual (which can be obtained at the library for free or you can buy one at your loccal book or auto parts shop)

OPen the trunk and remove the access cover. The bulbs just twist out from the rear.
