Overheating

See if the engine turns over by putting a socket and ratchet on front bolt that hold the pully on. May have to have starter motor checked out if the motor turns freely.

My 04 seabring is still overheating after replaceing the thermostat, and then wont start

If you have the 2.7L engine, you may have a bad water pump. The water pump is turned by the timing chain. When the water pump on those particular engines go out, tension on the chain goes away and retards the camshafts bad enough for it not wanting to start. Pull your oil dipstick out and see if you see signs of water in the oil. If there is, this is your problem. When the water pump goes out on those engines, it'll drain water straight into the front of the oil pan.

2003 Jeep Liberty leaking pale yellow fluid from very front of car-at first I thought it was water-haven't been running AC

sounds like coolant and that vehicle overheated or now has a leak ---and replacing plugs usually doesnt correct an overheating problem and if told had bad thermostat [ which will cause overheating ] i would have system tested for leaks then look into thermostat as a problem to your overheating problem

Coolant leaking from above front suspension

If it's from the front of the engine, the water pump may have failed. Check for water coming out from the bottom of the pump.
Was the overheating caused by low coolant level?
If not the pump, check your engine freeze plugs and hoses.

My check engine light is on. Advance Auto Parts says it is the PO 325 Knock Sensor Malfunction Bnk 1 or Single Sensor. My Subaru is a 1996 Impreza. I also have a fast blinking left turn signal that...

  1. Knock sensor. Check all the wiring connections on the engine heads. Your sensor probably is failed (but see Overheating #3 below) .
  2. fast blinking left turn signal. The front bulb has failed, so replace it.
  3. oil temperature light. This may be an indirect result of #1, as the engine is not running properly and this can cause overheating (but see Overheating #3 below)
Other causes of overheating ...
  1. low oil level
  2. low coolant level. If you are losing coolant, the cause has to be located. The correct fill method is to top up the radiator, then repeatedly squeeze the top rad hose, to "burp" all the air out of the cooling system. You will hear the coolant squishing in the top of the engine. Keep burping until the coolant squishing noise stops.
  3. head gasket(s) may be failing, a not uncommon problem for your engine model. Check for oil in the coolant.

Antifreze leak/overheating by pullies in front of engine by waterpump

The water pump is located behind the fan, behind the pullies, at the front of the engine. It's probably what's leaking.
