SOURCE: how do you remove a

I'm not familiar with that exact model/year but for years ford has had the same setup. To remove the radio requires a special tool that you can purchase from an auto parts store for about $5. There should be a small hole in each corner of the radio, the tool slides into the holes and you'll hear a click letting you know it's in there correctly. Then you pull the tools outward and towards you at the same time and the radio will slide right out. Then it's a matter of unplugging a few connections on the back. To reinstall the radio slides right back in.

FYI- The tools look like two pieces of coat hanger bent into a U.

I bought a preowned Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2008 and do not have the factory code for keyless entry. Where is it?

You may have to go to a Ford dealership and provide them with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) so they can pull up the factory specs on that particular Explorer. They'd probably be your best bet.

Find code for door entry on 2008 ford explorer sport trac

The Factory Code came with the owners manual
& in the keyless entry on the door, then you can change it

If you don't have that, then your going to pay a dealer
to resolve the issue, if you don't know what is in there now,
so you can change it,again the instructions are in the manual

My radio has an aux button but the car does not have a jack for aux play? am i looking in right place or do i have to have one installed?

07 Ranger and Mustang were the first vehicles to come with a factory installed aux jack. All prior vehicles had to have one installed. I believe the Ford kit was called Trip Tunes.

Aux input for MP3 player

I'am an M.B. tech- I do not beleive that this radio is mp3 compatable- iknow that the input you are refering to is used for ipod use. It very well could be that the head unit has to be programed(basically informed0 for an mp3- i would call the service dept. and ask to talk to ther best audio tech savay mechanic. Most likley the service writer wouldn.t know or give you false information because they do not stay on top of all the little tecnical changes. This fiber optic system has many programing features- most have to be done with as sds laptop(dealer software only) good luck

Add Music Link to 2008 Rigeline

I haven't done this to my ridgeline, but I did it to my 1992 accord.  You can have any auto radio shop add a wire from the aux input on the back of the factory radio that comes out in a hidden place, like one of the little storage places under the radio.  Just plug it into your ipod and push the XM/AUX button on your radio, and you're good to go.  Should cost under $100.
