2002 F-150 wont turn over

I went to start my truck last night and it started to turn over. When I thought the truck had started I let go of the key and the truck stalled. When I tired to restart the truck it wouldn't turn over at all. Tried different key just in case it was the chip in the key. No luck. Please help...

When you say turn over ? Do you mean that it's cranking strong but it won't run or do you mean now there is no cranking? I think that first check all fuses 2/if strong cranking spray or pour some gas or fuel injection cleaner and crank the engine if it starts and dies quickly you have a fuel delivery issue and a possible fuel pump or relay failure if it doesn't try to run at all the idle air control valve has failed if you could post back to me with specific info about what is happening I can help you more remember that all of us here are not there at the truck so you must think about your posting to insure that you are using the right description of the problem/s ### starter is cranking strong but engine not running///// starter will not crank the engine so when you say turn over we are not really sure what you mean I think I know but as you read the other answers other members think that your starter is bad I'm leaning towards a fuel or no spark issue I described the fuel part for spark pull out the plug wire/or coil?(no engine given)and have someone turn the key while you ground the plug wire or coil to the block if spark is seen the go back to fuel issue if no spark is present if you have coil boot on plugs check all for spark if none ignition module is bad if you have a coil pack with all plug wires coming out check other wires for spark if none bad coil pack if you have a voltage meter check for primary& secondary voltage if someone cranks the engine and you don't see voltage it's definitely bad change the coil pack and while you're at it remove each spark plug 1at a time and check the gap if plugs are worn or to much air gap it will stop the engine from running because the plug gap is to far for a good spark to ignite the fuel in the cylinders to cause the compressed air/fuel mixture to explode inside the engine so you see your description is very vague as to what you mean there are a lot of things that can stop your engine from running I'm a taxi mechanic in NYC with 50 years of experience and I'm trying to help you the best that I can so I gave you what could be possible but we need to pin it down for the repairs otherwise you'll start spending$$$ with no results ok so post back and I'll get you there and back on the road Stephen

SOURCE: 05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford F-350 6.0 power stroke will not start

This really is the sign of a dying battery - one that may not be getting any charge to replace it. I would disconnect the +ve lead and put battery on charge for at least 24hrs (with an intelligent charger). Then check Alternator for correct output when running. Also check for current drain when turned off. A high drain may indicate a blown diode in the alternator - the rectifier block is usually replacable without scrapping the whole unit.

SOURCE: f-150 lightning, turns over but won't start

depends on the system-----------some will allow the vehicle to turn over but not get spark............some will not allow the vehicle to get fuel........and some will not allow it to turn over..........best bet is to find a way to read all the codes in the vehicle all the way down to the body codes.................aka gem module and anti-theft circuits........if you are having an issue with theft circuits or key chip recognition it will show through the codes

Security. Turn the key to run. Let it sit for ten minutes, off for thirty seconds. Then try to start. Do this three times for a relearn. Don't try to start.

Key is stuck and everything is dead

Tried moving the steering wheel firmly in one direction or the other while (gently!) attempting to turn the key? Or look for a little lever that your knuckle sometimes hits when you do turn the key.

Our 2001 lincoln ls was running fine, then all of a sudden now it wont start. we have replaced the battery, and everything else turns on, it is just hard to turn the key and it wont start--and it was all...

I would love to answer this question but I am having the same issue. I have a 2000 LS with the V8..replaced the battery about 2 weeks ago and last night I went to go home and it won't start. All the bells ring when I turn the key but when I turn to the right to "start" position, nothing. No clicking, no noise at all. I called the Lincoln dealership and we went over the alarm light "not flashing" and shifter position. They have no advice other than "tow it in".
The vehicle had been running fine.
