MY 2002 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE KEEPS SHUTTING OFF. I'VE HAD A COMPLETE TUNE UP.CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS PROBLEM OUT.

    OK, I'll play this game: 1. When it shuts off, did you check to see if there is spark? (how about fuel... is pump running?) 2. How do you start it after this happens?? 3. Did you have this or a similar problem before it was tuned up???

    well are you turning the key back to the off posistion? need more info when does this happen. are you idleing is it right after you start it does it stop when its warmed up?

Have a problem getting off the plastic flange that slide into the aluminum housing for the electric fuel pump once 3 plastic fingers are push in it still will not slide completely off. 1999 jeep grand...
Over the years varnish will build up around that plastic and makes it hard for it to come apart. Spray around it with some solvent and let it soak for a few minutes. Then get someone to help you to depress the retainers and pull it apart. I usually buy the whole pump assembly, it's only a few dollars more & comes complete with new sending unit. Hope this helps.
