The positive cable should go to the starter solenoid, to the same post that the alternator connects to.

The ETS light is for the electronic traction control. There should be a button around or near the shift lever to turn this on or off.You might have pushed it incidentally. If it does not go out when you push it then you will have to get the codes from the traction control module. This will help to find the problem.Let me know what you find.Good luck.

How do i change the Electronic Computer Module (ECM) in a 1996 pontiac 2.2 automatic sunfire

I would get a second opinion , there not the brightest people . Take it to a ASE certified repair shop or dealer . Does your vehicle start an run ? If the brain box was bad it probably would not .
Powertrain Control Module/EEPROM Replacement/Programming

Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
Notice: In order to prevent internal damage to the PCM, the ignition must be OFF when disconnecting or reconnecting the PCM connector.
Service of the PCM should normally consist of either replacement of the PCM, EEPROM re-programming or a KS module change.
If the diagnostic procedures call for the PCM to be replaced, the PCM should be checked first to see if it is the correct part. If it is, remove the KS module from the faulty PCM and install it in the new service PCM. The service PCM will not contain a KS module. DTC P0601 indicates the EEPROM programming has malfunctioned. When DTC P0601 is obtained, re-program the EEPROM. If a DTC P0325 is set, check the KS module for proper installation. If it is installed correctly and DTC P0325 is still displayed, replace the KS module.
The ignition should be OFF for at least 10 seconds before disconnecting power to the PCM so the IAC valve has time to move to the engine OFF position.

How do i get fuel enabler to work after i accidentl ly left key on and disconnected battery

Not sure what you mean by "fuel enabler". From your description it sounds like the fuel pump relay may need to be reset. Check ALL of your fuses, it could be the pcm/ecm fuse is blown.
Hope this helps.

Where was the clicking noise coming from ? Could be a relay the PCM controls . It's possible it will do it again but you never know . If the battery dies again do a parasitic draw test . Improved Methods to Find Parasitic Draw Battery Drains Overnight

P1211 and P0603 codes have come on after installing superchip

Hi,

For P1211 :-

This code means the ICP pressure is aove or below specs meaing there is a high pressure oil concern. You need to monitor the ICP with a scan tool and see which it is. If its high then its most likely a faulty IPR valve. If its low then its most likely a internal leak at the pump or stand pipes.

For P0603 :-

The code P0603 is in ost case set due to the performance chip.
If equipped, remove and recheck operation.

If the vehicle is not equipped with a chip, or removing it makes no difference, monitor the voltage on fuse #22 in the interior fuse panel to see if the battery voltage goes away when the problem occurs.

If the voltage on fuse #22 is dropping or going away, check for a loose terminal connection on the PCM power relay. Also try swapping the PCM power relay with a similar part to eliminate a faulty relay.

If the relay is OK, but the voltage on fuse 22 is dropping, suspect an internal problem with the interior fuse panel.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

If it is the fuse for major engine control electronics that is blowing (PCM, etc.) as soon after energizing, try disconnecting the O2 sensors. The 12V heater in the sensor could be shorting to ground.
