Could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.

Driving my 98 olds 88 it died going down the road put new plugs plug wires fuel pump still won't start fuse good relay good

Why did you replace the fuel pump? Did you test fuel pressure? Test the electrical circuit for the fuel pump? Do you know how to do that? Does it have spark? Put a spark tester on a plug wire an crank the engine. What fuse an relay are good ,fuel pump .

What stops a fuel pump from working ,on a grand am se v-p6 3.4 motor ? I did'nt let it warm up the other mournin g , got down the road and it shut off driving.

A fuel pump does not need to be warmed up to work. They just wear out. If its the fuel pump that's the problem it will have to be replaced.

If you have good fuel pressure. Check for spark at any plug while cranking, If no spark, also place a screw driver on an injector and listen to it while someone cranks it over. If you have NO spark and NO injector click - crank sensor needs to be replaced. 95%
