MY Mercedes E240 W210 has no acceleration

I couldnt start the car so loked at the battery to find a corroded earthstrap on the battery, I changed the earth strap for a new one. The car started instantly but I now have BAS SRS & ANTISKID warning all come on since I did this, I had to change earth to batery as it was heavily corroded, even the nut to tighten onto pole had melted away, when took off the battery the earth terminal was wet (under rear seat, nothing else in car was damp) since changing strap I can now start car fine but get error codes and no throttle response, also idle is slightly erratic, while running battery is putting out 14.4 I have used a fault code reader in the 38 pin socket and it didn't pick up anything.

I should add that the gearbox is working fine, I can get it roll on the flat on forward and reverse gears I just have no acceleration, there is absolutely no response to the throttle at all, I have also looked at all the fuses, although I doubt a fuse would have caused it but I checked anyway.

Take car to dealership. The cars computer (ECU) needs to be reflashed since there was an electrical disruption when you disconnected the battery. This is only true with some european cars yours being one of them. Call them first they'll tell you so.

Thanks, I had no problems when had to take battery off previously, however this time I had the difference in that I had almost no earth contact so had to remove the earth strap from vehicle and change it, would this be something my local Indy can do I have a very trusted independent who are just as good and are well proven for the past 6 years, for a 1/4 of the prices that MB charge ;)

W210 2000 E240 Mercedes intermittent start engine delay (2-6 seconds) CP's replaced,not solved!!

Check battery leads and terminals must be clean
Check fuse (blade type)
Check battery with hydrometer, take it to shop
Batterys can (drop plates internally) if this is the case will result in delayed starting ...not enough amperage getting to starter motor & ignition

Anyone know how to remove top window glass for E240 or W210?

If you are talking about the roof glass, look
along runners with window back and open.Phillips
or cross head screws should be on both runners.
These all need to be taken out,but mark things on
a diagram when removing, and stick down on it so
they do not roll off.The glass position can be marked
with chalk so you know exactly where it goes, otherwise
it will take for ever to get back in.

2001, W210 E240 - 2.6 V6 misfires on 1 2 & 3 (codes P0301, P0302, P0303) when under load and cold - reset adn restart and runs fine ... if I drive very carefully when cold, then no problem, no engine...

While the P03xx codes can be intermittent, sporadic and very difficult to diagnose (bad fuel, malfunctioning injectors, assorted sensors, catalytic converters, etc.), I learned of one relatively simple and inexpensive solution to another Mercedes owner's various P03xx problems. See for yourself here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w140-s-class/1265142-p0300-p0301-p0306-p0170-codes.html
Good luck.

Mercedes E240 very slow acceleration to reach

sounds like a mass air flow senser, this senses load on the engine, you can buy an insert which is a quarter the price of a new unit. the e-class gave a lot of trouble with this senser.

Mercedes 1998 W210 E240 Auto Gear Selection Problem when cold

Have you checked the transmission fluid if it is low then the transmission will not have enough pressure on your incline, this could also explain your shift feel changing, it could be time for a transmission service, approx €150.00 inc filter and fluid change with a fluid changer not just by draining the pan. wher are you we may know someone in your area.
