My dash lights don't come on when I start my car in thr morning

When I start my car in the morning, 1 out of 3 times the car starts and functions but the dash does not. This means I can not see the speed, gas, mileage etc. Also it does not track the miles that I am driving. It only happens in the morning too. Very strange problem. It seems to happen more in the cold but not limited to cold weather.

Hi
It sounds to me like it could be a glow plug fault !
The glow plugs heat the diesel before it combusts. An easy way to diagnose this is check your exhaust after cranking on a cold morning if you have thick white smoke then you've probably got a glow plug down on 1 of your cylinders or maybe more
Hope this helps Nick

My civic's dash is acting up. This started earlier

I would be checking for a battery or alternator problem. The first thing to check is your battery terminals. Make sure they are clean and tight. If they are not then it can cause this type of problem. If you have a voltmeter you can check the battery to see if it has at least 12.65 volts. You can also make sure that when the car is running it has at least 13.5 volts. If you don't have a voltmeter or don't want to do the tests you can take your car to an auto parts store and they will usually check it for free.

I have a 2000 chevy silverado 1500. 3 nights ago, my truck started up just fine with no problems and has never had a problem starting up. The next morning, I tried to start it and the dash lights and radio...

do you have remote start on that truck? if you do, it has a hood safety switch that will keep it from starting if hood is open. That hood switch is quite easily identifyable. Look for it on the drivers side, either close to the firewall or right at the front of the fuse box.itsa worth taking a look

You have a check light on your dash

They have been on the dash of all vehicles
for 31 years, does not matter what the light is for

Check for codes ---within a couple of days
Diagnose the system with the malfunction --
Repair -start for finish (1) week or stop using the car

Proceedure is the same, every time you get any lights
on your dash --That is a vehicle system malfunction

Hi my toyota has probelms starting in the morning, my headlight beam strenght varies between weak and strong throughout the day, and this moning my hazard lights came on and would not go off and would not...

Sounds like the starter battery can't hold the charge from the alternator. A 1 hour highway drive should charge the battery enough - if it's the same the next morning it's up for replacement. Assuming there are no lights, radio or other devices on in the car during the night.

If the battery has been recently replaced - the alternator might not supply enough current anymore. In this case alternator brushes might need replacement or the voltage regulator has died. Usually the battery indicator lights up in this case. The battery indicator light can be checked by turning the ignition key one notch so all lights in the dash light up. If the battery indicator doesn't light the lightbulb might be dead.
