What's with all these people suggested dealerships look at the issue? The dealers usually want to charge you an arm and a leg to fix something very simple. The above link has the remedy to this issue.

You may have to purchase the fuse from a dealership.

I HATE TO SAY IT BECAUSE I LIKE TO TRY TO FIND A CHEAPER WAY TO FIX THINGS BUT IN THE CASE OF THE STABILITRAK I HAD TO RETURN IT TO THE DEALER IT COST ME CLOSE TO 300$ but now its fixed and the light is off. only other thing i can suggest is some mechanics know how to disable this light. i personally wanted it fixed but if you don't really care, the light can be disabled.

SOURCE: 2007 Pontiac torrent the wind shield wiper liquid

Hi Maria,

All these checks can be done with the engine NOT running but the key in the ON position.

First step is pop the hood and check the wiper fluid level. If it's low, bring it up to the fill line.

Second, is the pump running when it's supposed too? Near the bottom of the wiper fluid reservoir you'll find a small pump motor with two wires and a hose attached.

Have someone hit the switch. The pump should run for several seconds. If not:

  • Make sure those wires are firmly attached to the motor
  • Check the fuse. Under the dash there is a fuse block. Look for the one that says Wiper/Washer. If it's blown, replace it.
If it does run, check the washer jets. they may have gotten jarred into a position where they don't hit the windshield anymore. Look for moisture near the base of the windshield.

Comment me back if you have any trouble.

Best regards,
Mike

SOURCE: Service Stabilitrak-Reduced Engine Power

the engine light is a generic fault indicator in your car to point out something is not quite right with the engine, having a loss of power as well is also known in some areas as Limp Mode or Safety Mode. it means the car is restricting the power it gives to ensure no damage it done to the engine.

the only certain way to find out what is wrong is to take it to a garage that has diagnostics equipment that can read the fault codes from the vechicles ECU (the fault codes will be the reason the light on the dash has come on as its reporting a fault somewhere)..

your mechanic should be able to tell you what is wrong with the engine from that and give you a more accurate cost at fixing it.

Why does my stabilitrak service light come on when I'm on the freeway?

Have a repair shop check for codes--- SOON---
& diagnose that system

There is no guessing at vehicle problems

Running fine is ---in your mind---

Your asking about a braking system issue,
not engine performance issue

Read your owners manual

Read anyone's owners manual

Obviously the vehicle has a problem, that has to be found,
& a solution found & you pay for all that & the repair

Stabilitrak and ABS lights come on but car is running fine

Nope, but take it in. Brake problems are nothing to fool with They'll probabl tell you it's the ABS ECU. Not a cheap item.. However, it only affects the ABS system, not the brakes itself.
