SOURCE: recommended oil for a 1988 mazda rx7
are you sure you want to start using it. Yes it is a great product but it wont bring an old engine, magically, back to life. If anything it is thin like moble-1. So on an old engine it could start to leak oil from the main seals and/or start to smoke from worn rings. and royal purple is a full synthetic. Don't mix it with conventional oil.

I don't know if your Mazda is all electrically ran, but it sounds like it. It may be as simple as a fuse, but mine ended up being the entire fuse block had to be replaced. Also there may just be a loose connection, especially after an accident.

More than Likely your clutch reservoir is low on fluid and has leaked all the fluid out so check that first if the reservoir is empty then fill it with brake fluid. Then it will need to be bleed if you don't know how it would be better to take it to a mechanic. Let me know if you want to try it and I will help you.

Check that on your carburetor, when you press on the throttle, it still shoots a little bit of gas out into the barrel. If it does not, you may need to replace the throttle pump. what is happening is this: As the throttle is opened higher, the vacuum drops severely, and the fuel doesn't get put in. The throttle pump pushes a little squirt to retain the vacuum. If it is an EFI unit, you have other issues, that I would recommend a mechanic for.
