The pcv valve will be sticking out of the valve cover in either the front or back. and as for the dexcol, i would have it flushed really well and replaced with the reg green coolant. ive seen that stuff get bad quick.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix gtp 3.8 supercharged and i want to know if it has a pcv valve and if it does where?

the last one I did was on the passenger side on top of the intake. it was covered with a flat plate that was held in place with 2 bolts I think. remove the plate and the PCV is under the cover. pull out valve there is a spring between the cover and the valve, make sure it is put back in place when re-assembling. it does not use a hose to control crankcase pressures.

check the pcv valve, it will **** up oil and burn it if bad, and also check the hose to pcv valve. depending on vehicle the price for a pcv valve is very reasonable. pull out pcv valve and shake it ! if it rattles its ok. but if not replace it. have a good day !! ( positive crankcase ventilation ).

What kind of antifreeze do i use for a 2006 grand prix

Your car was likely manufactured with GM DEX-COOL coolant. If it has been changed to universal you may use any universal coolant.

If the coolant in the coolant reserve tank is orange you should use genuine DEX-COOL which should be able to get from your local auto parts supplier.

All the best.

2006 Grand Caravan: Can't get pcv valve from a 3.8 dodge grand caravan...

I just replaced mine and had the same problem. If you look at the new one, you should find a small hole at the base of the metal tube. Using a mirror, I located the same hole in the one in the valve cover and inserted a pointed awl into it and was able to pry it out. Do it slowly since you are prying against plastic. When inserting the new one, I found that it should not be inserted as far the original one was and has a gentle snap.

Have not had the pcv changed in a while and cannot locate it. 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix 3800 series 3, with super charger.

If I remember correctly this vehicle has a plastic plenum and the pcv valve is inside the plenum. Only time it is usually replaced is when the intake gasket needs replaced (and it will).

I have a 2006 pontiac grand prix it has vary little heat and after driving a long distance i might lose all my heat i have 78,000 miles on the car

You might have a thermostat stuck open this will not allow the coolant to reach correct operating temperature.
