Hi,...don't understand your question...My point is that if you have an aftermarket alarm, which apparently you do, you'll need to figure out how to RESET your alarm BEFORE you disconnect the battery. Most likely it'll go off/stop the car from starting after reconnecting the battery.TD

Hi,
A '94 didn't have a stock alarm system that would engage the killswitch. If you/previous owner installed an alarm you should verify how to reset it b4 disconnecting battery.

Starter problems for 88 ford aerostar van 7 passenger. how do i know its the starter or bad connection?

Test your battery and starter by doing a voltage drop test. Put one test lead of your meter on the neg side of your battery, one on the positive. Check voltage. Make sure that you are actually connecting to the battery itself and not the terminal ends. Should read 12.8-13.2. Keeping the neg in the same location move the pos to the terminal end, engage starter, meter should read above 10 volts. Continue testing down the pos wire to the starter, checking voltage, until you find less than 10 volts. If the voltage is good at starter, have someone turn key to the start position, tap starter with a hammer. if starter engages , replace starter.

Gauge showing low output alt only 1yr old wondering if it could be regulator or batt or wiring

if you have access to a digital multimeter, connect the meter (set to volts) across positive and neg. terminal of the battery, should read roughly 12.6 volts, close to 10 volts, battery may be going out, also test the alt output, disconnect neg term and place negative lead to battery neg post and positive lead to neg battery cable (make sure meter is set to amps) should read near the rating, if both those, then you'd want to do a resistance test, (set meter to Ohms) disconnect battery and connect meter neg to either pos cable terminal or where the pos cable connects to the alt and connect positive lead to opposite of neg, should read next to 0, the check resistance of the ground by connecting meter between batt neg cable and body of alt.

How do I replace the battery on my 06 uplander

Yes, you need to unbolt the support bar that is covering the battery. After that is removed, then there is a battery hold down which keeps the battery from moving in the battery tray. Remove one of the bolts from the bar and losten the other so you can just move it out of the way without taking it off completely. Also, before doing anything, make sure to disconnect the neg battery terminal first and then the positive. When reinstalling a new battery, connect the new one as the last step starting with the positive terminal and then the neg.

Hope this is helpful

I need to replace my alternator

You need to first take off youre serptine belt. Inspect that and generally its a good idea to replace. Next there is a electrical connection on the alternator. DISCONNECT the battery FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then disconnect the connection on the alternator, there are a couple of bolts that attach the alternator to the engine. and then simply bolt on the new one, re-attach the electrical connection and then re-install the (new) belt.

03 vibe cd player will not respond

I blew a fuse controlling the radio, charging system, turn signals, heater fan, ,etc..this ran down my battery.

When I replaced the fuse, the CD player would not respond, but the radio worked.

I disconnected the battery for over 30 seconds, hooked it back up, and the time reset on the radio to 12:00 and the CD player works again.

Need advice on changing a battery on a 2000 VW jetta

I change the battery on my TDI by undoing the nuts in any order, positive first and then neg, or vice versa. If you happen to have a long wrench that can connect terminals, be very careful not to touch the other one, undo the neg first then. When you work on the positive pole do not touch any metal parts of the body, if you have not released the neg yet, otherwise you will see fireworks with the following fuse replacement.
When the batteyr is disconnected from the terminals the radio code will be lost. If you don't know your original radio code, you will have to go to the dealer and pay $105 for the code. Without that code the the radio will not work unless you have installed other than VW CD player
