Elantra power windows work from door switches but fail from main

My Hyundai Elantra's power windows operate well from door individual switches, but do not respond to the main switch (sometimes they move half an inch or just make a click).
The wiring of the driver's door looks new, and the connector is well conected to the main power windows switch.

Welcome to the club.... I had to have this part replaced 4 times during a 3 year period.... and it failed yet again... sometimes its the windows that stop responding but 90% of the time, it is the power mirror that stops functioning. Im just glad its still under warranty.

It was very srange, but all the contacts inside the switches of the main power window console (mounted in driver's door) were covered with soot.
I have disassembled the switch and cleaned the contacts. All functions well now.
The problem occured on a car that is used very rarely, that was most probably the reason of the sudden failure of the system.
Replacement of the main power windows switch would do the same but I have saved the expense this time. Hope the repair will last until I will sell the car.

2000 Hyundai Elantra back passenger side window not working at all?

There are two fuses that cover the power windows, but if it is only one window, it is likely to be the switch, the wiring, or the motor on that particular door. An auto-electrician can diagnose. Videos may help.

The front passenger window only goes down but not

it's working from the drivers side. i would assume the passenger switch is bad or there is a wire disconnected from the switch.

2001 elantra master power window switch

at the bottom and top of the switch there are retaining tabs. you can try to pop it out at those points with a flathead screw driver, but it is sometimes easier to just remove the door panel to get it out.

All 4 electric windows will not go up or down.

First, check the drivers door to body wiring where it passes between the doors. I'd take the panel off and start from the inside and work your way through the part that travels inside the rubber cover to the car. These are notorious for rotting wires in that area, which will cause a large problem.

If the harness is ok, replace the drivers door power window switch assembly. If the drivers door switches are bad then none of the others will work either. I see this very frequently as well from people who use too much Armour All cleaner, or drive with their window down in the rain and get it wet(smokers usually).
