SOURCE: fuel loss on kia sportage 2002..

I had exactly the same problem. The problem was with the fuel line clamps directly under the air plenum on the right side of the engine, right above the fuel injectors. The solution is to replace the factory spring clamps with proper hose clamps - a buck each. The real problem is that to get at the inside clamp, you have to remove the air plenum. It took me about 90 minutes to get it off and the same to reassemble. Not all that difficult, just very time consuming.

SOURCE: 2007 KIA Sportage check engine light just came on and now stays on all fluid levels are good

Had a similar problem and took it to the dealer - it is a defect which is common to a range of Kia Sportage. Eventually, the engine will not start.
The manufacturer paid for an engine replacement.

2003 Kia Rio when started finally it had a loud noise and sounded like it wanted to cut out.

Not enough information but sounds like you may have spun a bearing. Which means you will be engine shopping to fix it.

My air conditioner on my 1999 kia sportage smell like smoking and like burning went turn on

do you turn on fan when using a/c ! if so heres a few causes-- burning smell in car, blower motor is going bad, or resistor is burning up.the resistor controls the fan speeds. good-day !

The burning smell could be due to gas leakage in the engine compartment. The gas smell is being sucked into the fresh air intake of the air conditioner. It can be avoided by checking either fuel pressure regulator or fuel injector.

My 2002 sportage occasionally runs rough at idlee and smellof rotten eggs at the same time

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

White smoke visible on the tailpipe? As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you have an engine tune up, replace the spark plugs and fuel filter as well. This will surely give better fuel burning, rough idle and bad smell can be eliminated.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

O2 sensor engine light stays on, smell gas in kia as it warms up on cold days

o2 sensor is probably bad and so the car is unable to make proper adjustments to the air/fuel ratio. What you likely smell is your car running rich, meaning there is too much gas for the amount of air the engine is taking it resulting in gas that is getting burned completely and is going out through the exhaust. Is probably going to decrease your gas mileage. You should probably get the o2 sensor checked out.

Smell of gas while driving

If you smell gas while driving, check for leaks first.
Look under the chassis near the gas filler neck. Check under the hood for raw gas odor around the engine. If your hoses are not leaking, your car may need a tuneup. It could be burning too rich.
