The fuel pump is on the just to the left of the rear diffrental. You could see it from the left rear wheel well. follow the fuel line from the fuel fliter which is located just in front of the left rear wheel. it is placed there so that it can be replaced easily. about 1 2hr job for a do it yourself. make sure you have a emply fuel tank or you crimp the fuel line from the tank or else you will have fuel all over the ground. I have replaced it on both of my jaguars. 90 xj6 and 89 vanden plas.

I think it is in the fuel tank. You can do it yourself if you get a book. Make sure you empty out all the gas before you drop the tank, it will make your life alot easier. I f you are at all handy with tools you can save yourself 300-1000 dollars by doing it your self

Driving my 98 olds 88 it died going down the road put new plugs plug wires fuel pump still won't start fuse good relay good

Why did you replace the fuel pump? Did you test fuel pressure? Test the electrical circuit for the fuel pump? Do you know how to do that? Does it have spark? Put a spark tester on a plug wire an crank the engine. What fuse an relay are good ,fuel pump .

I have a 2000 jaguar stype and it won't start I put some gas in the car and tried starter fluid it turned on but cut off 3 times there is pressure in the fuel pump but it still won't start what can it

I would start with all the fuses. Yes this seems like a simple and pointless thing to do but I have a 2002 S type Jaguar and my issue was a fuse in the trunk panel I did not even know existed. You should have 3 fuse boxes. Check all the fuel related fuses first then you can go from there. Also if you have replaced a fuel pump recently pull it out and set it back in the fuel tank. It may not be put in correctly therefore blocking the sock on the pump and not being able to pull fuel. your fuel pump will only fit perfectly only one way. These are simple fixes but most the time that is what it is

Fix code PO193 on jaguar stype 2000

this code shows fuel rail pressure high. Could be many reasons for this from blocked or failing injectors to pressure regulation.Check all connections to electrical plugs and sockets to ensure no faulty signals. Only option after this is a good repair shop to check actions of injectors / regulators / pump.

1994 jaguar xj6 replaced fuel pump, distributor cap and rotor. Will start sometimes but runs rough then stalls. There is no fuel pressure or should I say maybe 15 when it is suppose to have 80.Have to keep...

Fuel pressure at idle with the vacuum line attached to the pressure regulator 34 to 38 psi. with the vacuum hose connected the pressure should be 42 to 45. Try to collapse or block the return line and see if the pressure goes up.Also closely inspect the MAF air duct for torns and false air

Where is fuel pump located on 88 jaguar

The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank which is accesible from the trunk, behind where your battery is mounted. You have to remove the gas tank to take it out, which is a very complicated removal by the way, requiring special gas line removal tools and about 2 hours or so for a trained Jaguar Tech to access.

I need a wiring schmatic for a 88 vw fox

The ignition switch and relay supply the power. Switch to relay, relay to pump. make a set of jumper wires and run them from battery to pump and see if pump runs . If it does its ok. Next pull fuel injection relay (under dash in fuse box)check it for burnt terminals , resistance and continuity. Its a good idea to get a shop manual for this car. This car is a pleasure to fix . After you pull relay for pump get a voltmeter and test the circuit for B+ (don't forget to put key in ignition and turn to the on position.
If you get B+ here switch is ok most likely relay is the culprit.
Remember there are two fuel pumps for this vehicle
One in the tank (accessable via trunk lift carpet and its in the right corner) the other under the car by the tank. have fun and good luck

No power to fuel pump or to pump fuse at fuse block

You can get wiring diagrams from autozone.com -- they have parts of repair manuals online. I have the smae problem but the person I got my 88 fox gl from wired up a switch going to the fuel pump that you have to leave on while driving. I"m probably giong to fix this soon. It looks like the wire powering the fuel pump relay comes from the ignition switch. So if the pump side of the relay is good, but aren't getting power, you may want to see if your ignition switch isn't providing power on one wire, going to the fuel pump relay.
