On the cylinder is a sensor for the fan relay when sensor shows trhe temperature is high it will operate the relay for the fan so either the sensor is faulty or the relay ,Also check for a live feed to the relay incase a fuse is blown or a dirty connection with the fuse holder

SOURCE: 2010 Dodge Nitro AC Fuse for fan location

First, it would be nice to know WHICH fan you are talking about. The engine cooling fan? The heater-A/C blower fan?

Second, this might be the time to educate you about fuses. Fuses do not cause electrical failures, Electrical failures cause blown fuses.

With that being said, it is highly unlikely that if you find the fuse you are looking for, that it will solve your problem.

How long for the ac fan to start working? Ive noticed that the fan does not work when i turn the ac on, can this cause my car to overheat. I check the temp and coolant liquid both seems fine.

the ac fan starts as soon as the ac is switched on
the fan is provide cooling of the condenser before the radiator to prevent high head pressures in the ac compressor
it is the fan at the front of the car mand does not affect engine temp
there is a radiator fan between the engine and the radiator that will not start until the coolant temperature reaches a set temp at which point the ECM switches that fan on
if that fan is not working when the engine is hot , check for fan, coolant temperature sensor switch , fan relay, fuses or problem ECM
