Yes parking brake will still work. It is mechanical with a wire going from pedal/handle that when pulled squeezes the brake shoes round the rotor. Just go real slow and you should be alright. Hope this helped you.

If you lift the hand brake you should find an adjustment nut (I think it is 10MM). Tighten that and you should be good to go. Be careful, it doesn't take much to adjust - turn gradually/slowly.

Your brake light switch is broken. The switch has a spring that is supposed to disengage the switch when you let off the brake pedal, it's either stuck, or broken. A new brake light switch should resolve your issue.

try bleeding the system and if you went 4x4ing you may have knocked off a wheel sensor.

if they are disk brakes, they are not adjustable. if they are drums they should auto adjust. if they are not, then there is a problem that you have to pull the tire, then the drum, to diagnose it. you may have to disassemble the brake shoes and springs, and clean and lube the self adjusters
