Your solenoid sits right next to your starter on the same housing you can check it by removing your starter from your transmission bell housing follow your positive cable from your battery there will be two bolts . this could be a pain in the **** but you can do it. once you have it out you can check it with a set of jumper cables on the ground . connect your neg: cable to the outer housing were the bolt holes are. then touch the pos: cable to the small bolt and the large bolt at the same time. if the starter ingages at a high speed rpm than its ok this means if the gear in front pops out and spins with no problem. when you do this the starter will try to jump dont be frieghtend. hold it for just a few second so you dont burn out the solenoid. if none of this happens then you need a new starter good luck

I have a 1992 vigor and it ran up till the battery went bad and so I bought a new one and now the car wont start. It just makes a click noise and wont even turn over.

A click noise is from a bad solenoid or starter, not the battery. Have someone check out the solenoid and starter. Quick fix.

I have a 92 vigor acura 5 cylinder when i try to start it the both battery cables heat up and it sound like it wants to start then locks and does nothing. After a while it does the same.

If the cables heat up (I assume you are talking about jumper cables) it is because there is not enough current flowing through them to enable the starter on the dead vehicle. This is an indication that your cables are bad and you need to try with a new set of cables or take your battery to your local autozone where they charge your battery for free.

I want to replace starter on 1994 acura vigor

so get it done already your going to need to get under the car so a jack and jack stands will work or car ramps will also work. locate and remove any splash shields that may be in the way then take note of where the mounting bolts that hold the starter are and where the wires hook up at cause they all have to go back on the same way they cam off or your car is not going to start but before you do anything be sure to unhook the battery cables.

My 1992 acura vigor will not turn over. Has power to everything else. What do you think it is?

I say starter motor or its solenoid, have auto parts store bench test it. Other end of the spectrum- bad ignition switch

Car wont start; jumped successfully once; wont start again; battery fine

1. Start solenoid stuck: remove minus battery cable. Remove starter. Remove solenoid and clean and lightly grease the slide.
2. Go to most Auto Parts Stores for a free test.
3. If the battery connections and Block Ground connections are not clean, make them clean.
4. Only clean the positive connection at the starter After removing the battery minus connection.
5. Use 150 grit sand paper to clean the small solenoid lead. If you must remove the small bolt be very sensitive of your applied pressure, these small bolts break and strip easily.
SAFETY: The last connection made is always the negative/minus battery connection for all starter related repairs. These wires will burn you if the battery is not safely disconnected and best when wrapped by a rag or paper towel.
Good Luck.
