Usually a defective drive belt in the CD player that couples the motor to the disk shaft. It's almost always a pain to replace it so I recommend finding a tech that knows how to change it. Sometimes you can buy a replacement cheaper than paying to fix it. The Crutchfield company has very capable techs that can recommend a replacement for your player.

It can be repaired but in all of my years in consumer repair, I dread the CD/DVD tray alignments the worst.
There are many things involved in getting them to operate without fail. Using the mfgs documentation you can get them up and running but most of the time they failed because something is amiss to begin with. So you spend an hour getting everything setup and it will work once or twice but them fail. Only to find out that a location sensor is bad or a gear is missing a tooth....

Your amp is not turning on - what you should do is connect the "blue/white - remote turn-on lead" to whatever wire you have the "blue - power antenna" output from the Alpine connected to now. That should solve your problem.

SOURCE: my ford ka cd player only plays out of one speaker
When I first got my Ka, the wiring between the car and the door was snapped. If you open the door there is a rubber tubing, if u assume 2 wires are snapped and try 2 pull them together through the rubber tubing you should hear a crackle if thats the fault. Even if you do not, it will almost certainly be this. To fix it, you need 2 use a stanley knife 2 cut open the rubber tubing then connect the to snapped wires together. I did this by getting a small amount of speaker cable and adding it 2 both ends, using plenty of insulation tape. This is the most common fault for speaker problems in the Ka.
Hope this Helps

i was playing around with one of those code generators just the other day and after some messing around it turned out the code to enter was the last four digits of the number below the barcode; if there are 2 barcodes, use the bottom one
