Ok. Under the hood on the passenger side next to the turbocharger and behind the transmission dipstick and oil fill tube is a round vacuum valve about 2 inches in diameter. It should have a small gray vacuum hose going to it. It probably fell off. Check that first and let me know what happens. Good luck.

My F-250 did the same thing. With the engine off and hood up, turn the key on. Is the vacuum pump on the drivers side running? It runs for a couple of seconds. If not check the fuses first. If that is ok then your vent door is sticking. Turn your heater on but, have the fan on low. Wait for a minute or so and see if it blows on the floor. Sometimes if the blower is on high the damper can't move to change where the air should go. Let me know what you find.

I have a 1975 k5 blazer and it blows cold air it worked fine last year but now it only blows cold air even on the defrost setting what can the problem be and how can I fix it?

A vent flap actuator probably needs to be replaced. It's what moves your vent flaps from heat to A/C or to plain "vent air" when you change settings.

The discussion in the link includes vent flap actuators. Unfortunately, they also include the infamous no low speed fan problem too.

Cannot get any air from dash vents while defrost and floor vents work fine...

Your particular actuator will be a different one than they found.
They're all a absolute pain to get at because they can be well buried in the dash. I would start looking under the dash on the passenger side, that's where most of the air control is. Cannot get any air from dash vents while defrost and floor vents work fine...

Dash vents will not blow air. Defroster and floor vents blow fine.

Is it a new vehicle? I had a new vehicle that had the same problem. Answer was that the holes weren't punched out of the vent.
