Start with cleaning the battery cables to the battery

SOURCE: several warning lights come on after 20 min, then overheats

have the alternator replaced and when you do this also replace the drive belt

SOURCE: battery alternator visit workshop is flashing on

MERCEDES C200 Kompressor 2001. battery alternator visit workshop is flashing on trip computer. i have replaced alternator. everything is ok. battery getting charge... i cant see any thing wrong so why workshop flashing?? maybe something wrong with new alternator 4 exampel voltage sensor??

alternator needs to be replaced, fitted lots of them

If your lights for the battery and alternator are on it could very well mean that either your battery is no good or that your alternator stopped charging. If it has stopped charging, you have what's left in the battery to get yourself to the repair shop before you're on the side of the road.

When i start my 2001 vw passat and start to drive warning alternator workshop comes on then turns off right away. Would this have anything to do with turbo not kicking in right away?
doubt it, charges the battery so its an electrical fault if you have a multi meter test the battery voltage with the engine running should be around 13.8

I have a mercedes-benz clk 270 cdi avantgarde and the other day the battery light/visit workshop came on....poly v belt replaced, but the warning light still on......any suggestions??
YOU NEED TO ERASE TROUBLE CODE WITH A CODE SCANNER.IF CODE HAS BEEN ERASED AND WARNING LIGHT STILL APPEAR MAKE SURE ALTERNATOR BATTERY POWER FEED WIRE AND CHECK WIRE COMING FRONT SAM CONTROL MODULE WITH FUSE AND RELAY MAKE SURE WIRE IN PLACE TIGHT NOT DAMAGED. CHECK MAIN FUSE IN FUSE BOX THAT SEND POWER TO STARTER AND ALTERNATOR.

"battery no charge" warning light comes on
Hello: The belt may be slipping, (check it for excessive grease/oil) or the alternator may have failed. A parts store can check the alternator nd they may not charge you.

2001 c240 battery/alternator - visit workshop light
This is normally a low voltage from the alternator condition. Hook a voltmeter to the battery and note the reading. Should be 11.6vdc to 12.2vdc. Start the car, after a minute or so it should be around 13 to 14 vdc., if not then the alternator may be bad

Replace your battery when its being tested there not testing it under a heavy enough load. A battery could have a dead cell in it and still show good on the charger. I've had that problem a few times.

Air Bag Light, Brake Light, & ABS Light came on in the dashboard.
Check and see if your alternator is charging
Low voltage will cause those lights to come on, as the computer is shutting down.

To check your alternator you will need a volt meter... WITH the engine running you should have about 14 volts coming out. IF NOT you need to replace the Alternator!
