SOURCE: Do I change water pump when having timing belt changed

I would go to auto zone and get a diagram and the timing belt and do it yourself and the water pump (no it does not have to be changed everytime the timing belt is changed but if the car has over 60,000miles then it is best to change them both) it is not that hard especially if the car is not out of time just make sure you disconnect the negative side of the battery

SOURCE: How Do I Change the Timing Belt on my 2004 Accent?

It is vitally important to change the timing belt BEFORE it breaks on these kind of cars, because they have interferance engines which basically means if it breaks you are screwed. When changing the timing belt (I would recommend the following)
(1) replace the water pump
(2) replace the alternator and other belts as they will need to be removed for access.
(3) check and replace the tensioner for the timing belt

Most good reputable independant shops can do this at a much better cost than the dealer. Just guesstimating I would put labor at around $300. That is based on a rough estimate of 5 labor hours. Could be more or less (more at a branded dealership)...

SOURCE: need instructions to change timing belt and water pump on 2005 huyndai accent

It would be hard to explain over the computer.
The best and easiest way to do this is get a Chilton manual for the auto-parts store. The book runs about $20.
It will show you step by step on how to do it. It's the do-it-yourself bible for your car.
This way you have all the pictures, diagrams and other info you need. It's great research material.

Out of the blue . truck looses power and wants to die. not letting it die by hitting gas peddle it runs but starts back firering supper bad. truck dies .starting up it doesnt want to put . made it home .....

if you have replaced cap and rotor plus coil and it seemed to fire up then i would take the next step. For sure put your new plugs and wires on then make sure you have replaced your air filter, and change out your fuel filter, fire up the vehicle if it doesn't start I would suggest changing the fuel pump. If it starts up make sure you put in some BK fuel injector cleaner in your fuel it might be you have dirty injectors. If all fails then get back with me and we will look else where. Good luck hope this info helps you out

My 2001 Hyundai Accent is dripping fuel from the fuel line.An oil change shop wouldn't change my oil on account of the increased risk of danger. The power steering pump has also been squeaky, loud and the...

Take the car to another mechanic. The steering is likely going stiff because the belt is loose, that's why it's squeaking and slipping on the power steering pump pulley. The mechanic should have checked and tightened the belt. The pumps rarely fail. If you have a gas leak, it must be repaired immediately and it depends what is wrong that will determine cost. Go to a smaller shop that has been around along time or get a referral from friends that have had good luck with a shop that does repairs, not just oil changes.

Check the fuel pressure, fuel pump (which is inside the fuel tank), fuel pressure solenoid (if fitted) and fuel pressure regulator (if fitted). Check and replace the fuel filter and check the injector flow rates in case you have clogged or faulty injectors.. I would lean towards a fuel supply issue here so look at the fuel filter and fuel pump first..

Engine dies when first try to crank it up..idling rough.

Step 1. Change your fuel filters. You should have one at the throttle body on top of the engine, and one inline near the gas tank under the car. There is the possibility that you only have one filter though, so if you look hard and only find one, don't panic.

Step 2. Check to make sure that you fuel pump is working correctly by removing the line coming from the throttle body to see if gas comes out easily. If it is slow to come out or not much comes out, you need to replace your fuel pump.

Step 3. Check your spark system. Plugs, wires, distributor.

Doing a general tune up including a new timing belt, some fuel injector cleaner, new battery and always getting the same type and quality of gas every time will help overall

2001 Accent stick shift sputters in low gears and at high speed.

I suspect the timing is off since timing belt replacement was mentioned. The altitude would be read by the various sensors in the engine and computer and would be compensated accordingly.

Replaced fuel filter on 2000 Hyundai Accent, now the car dies more often.

I would make sure the Arrow on the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow on the fuel filter should be going towards the engine away from the fuel tank,

If you are sure the fuel filter is on correctly. Check for leaks,

The next step would be to change out the fuel pump. The pump could be on it way out.
Low pressure or intermittently no pressure .
