Drivers side, underneath the car. look at the line coming from the gas tank, and where the line gets bigger and has a metal cylinder in it, that is your fuel filter. a couple of clamps and you can change that thing out in a matter of minutes, and depending on your medel you may have to remove a metal plate to get to it.

Does vehicle engine turn over. If yes, then pay attention to fuel system. Check for good power and ground at fuel pump connector. If no power check fuel pump fuse, relay and for open wires (power, ground) to fuel pump.

2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport (won't not 'want') start. Replaced the starter and fuel pump. Filter still not getting gas to the cylinders
If you already replaced fuel pump and filter and still no fuel pressure at injectors rail, your problem is more than likely electrical. Check for good power and ground at fuel pump connector. If no power at fuel pump connector, check your fuel pump fuse, relay and wiring for opens(broken) feed wire.

More then likely, it is a fuel issue. You might need to change the fuel filter. It may be clogged. Make sure none of your fuel lines are pinched also. It could be a weak fuel pump. It could also be a leaking fuel injector.

The fuel filter is most likely the problem. If/when the fuel runs low it start sucking sediment out of the gas tank. That sediment gets piled up into your filter so much that the fuel can no longer flow at a constant rate fast enough to fuel the engine. This can happen instantly with no warning. Thanks for asking!

This vehicle doesn't appear to have a cabin filter. There is a aerosol spray to neutralize and deodorize that you can buy at most local auto parts stores specially made for the a/c evaporator.

2001 Montero Sport does not have power when climbing mountain pas
Considering what has been done, the problem sounds like a fuel issue. Do a fuel pressure test, it should be 47-50 psi with vacuum line pulled off fuel pressure regulator. If low replace filter and try again. If still low replace pump. Please make sure to rate me when done. Thanks
