What are yo attempting to "Reset"? to reset the "service engine" light you push the trip button to reset trip "A" to 0000000. This is with the engine running. Then turn the car off and turn key to ACC position. Now you push and hold trip button for a minute and "Service Engine" light is reset.
Chevy doesn't use a fuel pump reset switch, it does have a circuit that turns the fuel pump off if the engine losses oil pressure. Ford does use a reset switch and does have a button you press to reset it.
2 Suggestions:
Check the gas reset button located besides the parking brake pedal (red button), press it and try to turn it on.
Check with a mechanic if the gas pump still works (if you ran out of gas you could probably have damaged your gas pumpby overheating it)
